theYoungerMrsWarde
:grouphug: I DEFINITELY knew better than my guardians at that age. :D I couldn't understand why they couldn't understand the logic of my arguments  That's one of the reasons I'm looking forward to teaching my own children logic: so that they can examine their own arguments to see if it works or not. twoforjoy
You couldn't pay me enough. I don't think I thought I knew everything at 14. At 19, that's another story. ;) At least that phase passed pretty quickly.
bbsweetpea
You couldn't pay me enough. I don't think I thought I knew everything at 14. At 19, that's another story. ;) At least that phase passed pretty quickly. This was me too. I would rather have my finger nails pulled off and eye balls poked out than be 14 again. usetoschool
 I remember being 13 and having a serious discussion with my best friend about how when we were 14 we would be grown up and so different.
Kareni
I remember feeling incredibly smart as a twelve year old. I wondered what the point of continuing schooling was since I already knew how to read, write, and do arithmetic. I haven't felt so intelligent since! Regards, Kareni
bettyandbob
while I "knew" more than my parents and every other adult through my teen years, I was also in a great deal of pain. No, way I'd ever relive that.

lisamarie
Guess my DD6 is an early bloomer because she already thinks she knows everything there is to know and that school is a big waste of time. "Mom, I already know the word 'the' so why do I have to read it again?" "Mom, I don't need to do any more math, I already know how to do it all" which tops out at about double digit adding. Maybe. :glare:
JFSinIL
well....I think your average college freshman may be smarter (you sure can't tell them anything!) ;)
MamaT
I have one of those all-knowing 14yo girls in my house. What I am having trouble tolerating is that I also have an all-knowing 18yo son. When their knowers conflict it can be loud! They cannot disagree on anything quietly (or intelligently :001_smile:). sassenach
They are the smartest creatures on earth, just ask them. But they're also miserable because nothing is FAIR and everyone is always riding their back and why doesn't everyone just leave them alone?!!!! But first, take her to the youth group activity and make sure to buy some groceries that SHE likes!!!! Ya. I am humming an old Spin Doctors tune a lot these days... Little Miss Can't Be Wrong.... Honestly, it is exhausting.
