Joanne Posted May 15, 2008 Share Posted May 15, 2008 Through the grace of our Almighty Lord, I have been clean and sober 17 years today. I remember my first AA meetings. "17 Years* seemed unfathomable, unattainable, completely out of reach. And now I'm one of "those old timers". My life is not what I thought "17 years" would look and feel life. But I am grateful to the bottom of my soul to have the foundational thinking of sobriety and developed the spiritual principles of living that enabled me, through many, many hard times during the last 17 years to remain content in sobriety when not content in anything else.
