Trying again after miscarriage

Recommended Posts

This is rambling, but I just need to put it out there.

I had ds, miscarriage, dd, miscarriage, missed miscarriage. After 5 months and 3 periods, my missed miscarriage has finally cleared itself out, and we are trying again for a third. This is suddenly scary.

I'd love to hear of any success stories after two miscarriages in a row.

Thanks!

Monica

I had a ds, missed miscarriage, then a death after birth, then my miracle dd, then the icing on the cake ds.

My key was to up, up, up my vitamin intake. Emotionally, the second dd (after the death of my first one) was terrifying, but I knew I was on the right track. I tried to break down the pregnancy into smaller "hurdles" - 1st 7 weeks, then 12, then 16 (with all the scary tests), then 18 weeks for my level 2 ultrasound, 24-25 weeks, then the home streach!

My last one was a breeze until 37 weeks when I found out he was not in the right position. Then his birth was a little scary. But, all in all, I'd do EVERY. BIT. OF. IT. AGAIN to get my three little ones and my two angels. All worth it, even the heartache!

Success after 3 m/c just came into the room and asked me how to say hello in Chinese. :)

I will pass your story on to my sister, whom has had 2 miscarriages back-to-back after a perfectly wonderful pregnancy with her daughter. She is looking for all the positive stories she can hold on to.

OP-Sticky baby vibes and many prayers for a healthy pregnancy.

we had a m/c on our first try for a pregnancy---I ended up switching drs and after a few months of us trying (charting) and nothing happening she put me on CLOMID. Luckily the first try worked for us but because of the first m/c and the timing of it (m/c around what would have been time for my period that month) I had to use hormone inserts for a few months---I don't think I relaxed until the 2nd trimester. good luck........

I had four normal pregnancies and deliveries then had 3 mc since last April. I'm newly pregnant now paring this time will end with another baby. The dr. Did run some test after my second mc and found I had low progesterone. I will be saying prayers for you! I know how hard the emotional roller coaster can be.

Congratulations on your pregnancy! My mother had four pregnancies in 5 years then 2 miscarriages. Maybe her body was just tired. Who knows. She was eventually able to get pregnant with her last (at age 39) and the pregnancy was uneventful and the baby completely healthy. There is a gap of about 6 years between the older 4 kids and the last. I'm sure it will turn out well for you. Good luck!

I had 3 children, then 2 miscarriages then another child and then another miscarriage.

When I got pregnant again, I looked up the likelihood of having another child at age 43 after having 3 miscarriages. It was very low, but I'm holding that baby now, and she is as healthy as can be.

I had 3 mc between my third and fourth sons. We adopted our first daughter after our third miscarriage, started proceedings for our second daughter, and found out we were pregnant with fourth son! I had a normal, healthy pregnancy with him.

My first pregnancy was a m/c. Then I had dd. My next preg. was a m/c. Then I had my 4 boys (not all at once!) and my dd. After dd I had 3 miscarriages in a row. I was terrified. I went to a specialist who told me there wasn't anything wrong with me...it was just a "fluke". I then conceived ds and had a healthy pregnancy. We are now trying for one more and I haven't been able to conceive. Good luck to you.
