littlebug42
What vitamins specifically do you feel are important to give? What brands are the best to get? Neither of my children get all they need from diets with each having different needs. I am trying to work out the best plan for them. Thanks. Jean in Newcastle
My kids get a multi-vitamin (Yummi Bears), Carlson's vitamin A & D (400 IU on the vitamin D part), and zinc. Ds13 gets a B complex too. Both kids take probiotics too.

Anita in NC
We take a multivitamin (gummi vitamins), a calcium (tums), and a chewable vitamin C. We've also started taking Flax seed oil for those important omega 3, 6 and 9s.
Faline
My kids take a multivitamin (Superkid) and vitamin C, both from Beeyoutiful.com. Once in awhile I'll give them a cod liver oil tablet too. This combo seems to be working really well for us--I have been so pleased with our health lately.
Gratia271
When my children were younger, we used the Source Naturals chewable multiple. One thing I particularly liked about it was the fact that it included greens, so I didn't have to be as concerned if they didn't eat all of their spinach or asparagus. Now they take the Garden of Life Family multivitamin. They also take Omega 3.
LidiyaDawn
Kids chewables- sometimes it's Flinstones, sometimes it's other brands or generic store kids kinds. (Never the gummy ones - they don't like them)

AngieW in Texas
My 12yo is actually taking quite a bit because she has a lousy diet and I'm not going to drive her into anorexia trying to force her to eat things that repulse her. I had the same picky eater problems she has, so I know it's not a control issue. She desperately WANTS to eat more things, but feels like she's going to throw up just looking at most foods. She takes two Xymogen Activ Nutrients ( http://www.xymogen.com/2008/formula.asp?code=000001 ) three Pure Encapsulations magnesium glycinate ( http://www.purecaps.com/itemdy00.asp?T1=MG3 ) one Vitafusion calcium gummy ( http://www.amazon.com/Vitafusion-Calcium-Vitamin-VItamins-Strawberry/dp/B002LG88GE ) Recently I've added an iron supplement on alternate days: one Standard Process Ferrofood ( http://www.standardprocess.com/display/StandardProcessCatalog.spi?ID=74 ) She was taking just two magnesiums each day, but her anxiety attacks started up again, so I added a third. danybug
My kids take a multi, D3, fish oil, immune support, and probiotics. It is not cheap, but it is something I feel strongly about maintaining.
MyLittleWonders
My boys take Brainchild Nutritionals multivitamin and multimineral and 1 Animal Parade chewable (they only take a half-dose of Brainchild Nutritionals). They also take 1 teaspoon Nordic Naturals Ultimate Omega, and when I think about it, Vit. D3 (about 600 mg).
Negin
Carlson's Fish Oil for teens Now D3 - 2000 IU Nature's Way Probiotics Sometimes, if it's cold/flu season/traveling - Sambucol as well We get our supplements from vitacost or amazon Not to be rude or step on any toes, but I avoid Flintstones, and most stuff found in places like Costco, etc. Brands I like/trust overall: Carlson’s Nature’s Way New Chapter Organics NOW Enzymatic Therapy Solgar Source Naturals Twin Labs Anything with a short ingredient list - no soybean oil, no sugar, starches, colorings, etc. – the less things in it, the better Last I checked, Flintstones had far too much junk in it.
SilverMoonlight
Mine take: Nature's Plus Animal Parade Kid's Multi Nature's Plus AP Kid Greenz Nature's Plus AP AcidophiKidz And when I remember, Coromega Omega-3 Fish "pudding." ;)
Mergath
My dd eats amazingly well (no idea how that happened ;)) so we don't give her a vitamin supplement. She does get Barlean's fish oil, half a teaspoon a day.
