daughterofsarah77
My dd, now 7, has always enjoyed playing games on the computer. However, a lot of the sites she has always played on are now beneath her age/maturity level (Nick Jr., PBS kids, Barney.) I need some suggestion for some new (free) sites. I prefer educational, but they don't have to be. Thanks!
Unicorn.
My 12yo's like club penguin. Not all of it is free, but they just have to deal w/ it. They still play it alot.

melissel
We like Funbrain.com. Brainpop has a free component, I think. And there's this one that someone on the K-8 board shared: http://sheppardsoftware.com/ There have been at least a few threads over there about this. I'm sure there are more that I'm not recalling! Kathleen in VA
For history these are fun: http://www.washingtonsworld.org/ (you have to download some free software but it was not a problem for us. This was linked from the Mt. Vernon website) Colonial Williamsburg's kids' site: http://www.history.org/kids/games/index.cfm

sarawatsonim
My dd loves Jumpstart. You can play free but there is also a membership for those that want access to more things. We have the membership, but she plays on it for a bit everyday so it makes it worthwhile for us.

Farrar
My kids really like a lot of the games on the Lego website... but I have a feeling that you have to be into Legos like they are to really appreciate that stuff.

Littlemother
My children play Wizard 101, Pixie Hollow, and Clubpenguin. They are free to play, but you can do more things if you get a membership. My children say they like Clubpenguin the best.
