Tracey in TX
Hopefully it will pick up steam and hit the national mentality soon. (Ditch the Britneys of the world and use Miley and Audrey Hepburn for fashion clues.)

PiCO
My 14 yo dd has had great luck finding modest clothing. Target has long tank tops that she wears under other tops that are getting too short. She's not alone in this- most of her friends go for more of a cute look (not their word!), and they think a lot of girls need to wear more clothing. I think dd will stay far away from "Pure Fashion" though- I get the feeling there's a lot of pink involved.

In NJ the "norm" seems to be tight v neck tees with padded, push-up bras worn with tight hip hugger jeans.
Nestof3
I'll believe it when I see it. :glare: Prostitutes used to dress more modestly than many women do these days. But, modesty will always be "in" in our home.

mcconnellboys
I *know*, have you seen this year's cover? It was staring at me from a newstand recently -yikes! Are swim"suits" being sold with bottoms only now? Regena

She's considerably more modest than our (fairly conservative) standards require. I've found the same to be true of the girls she hangs out with. kalanamak
little girls. It makes me very happy I grew up in a time more innocent (and also that I have a boy...something I'd never thought I'd say).

I used to feel this way too until I realized my boys are going to have to look at the way these women dress. :o
