HollyDay
Okay, I'm about to try it for the first time - you guys convinced me to give it a go. It was $7 at the store today. Wish me well!!!

JudoMom
Be careful on the side to side lunges (I think that's the exercise that kept throwing my back out) :). Have fun!!! It really is a great DVD.

newlifemom
Where did you find it for $7?
hornblower
The idea is to do 10 days of level 1; 10 days of level 2; 10 days of level 3. I'm on day 5 of level 1. Ibuprofen is my friend :)
....
I'm on Day 6 and it's a really good workout. I am already noticing some fat missing from a certain spot...:001_huh: If you go on www.exercisetv.tv - there's a thing about it and you can download a workout schedule using the Shred 1 and 2 with her other workouts for a variety. Good luck! :D And, yes, my arms hurt really bad as I type.
Mom-ninja.
I was doing great with that DVD. Then one evening I did it after an hour of eating dinner, and threw up my dinner. It was a good dinner too. I was angry, and haven't touched the DVD since. :glare:
LauraGB
How long is your daily workout with this video?
Renee in NC
How long is your daily workout with this video? It's 20 minutes. I am doing a Walk Away the Pounds video in addition (only on the days when I am not getting outdoor exercise somewhere.)
hornblower
How long is your daily workout with this video? 20 mins. I agree with Renee in Fl about adding something else too. I walk with the dogs every day at least 1hr+ but I needed a thing for the abs & arms. Also, be sure to put it on while you're going to get dressed & getting shoes on etc. It has one of those annoying menus you can't skip through & there's about 5 mins of waste time before the workouts. I do like it because, other than the menu structure on the dvd, I think it's very efficient. Edited January 15, 2010 by hornblower
LauraGB
Well! I can do 20 minutes a day if my belly looks like hers at the end of a month! (I think.)
....
I also walk for 1 hour at night before bed. I do the video the first thing in the morning.
Sarah CB
I was just about to put the DVD into my Amazon cart when I noticed the book, "Making the Cut: The 30 Day Diet and Fitness Plan for the Strongest, Sexiest You". So, all of you Shred people...do you have the DVD or the book or both? Thanks.
HSDCY
Do you think this will work for a 10-yer-old, not-too-coordinated boy? My ds really needs a program to get him moving. He swims twice a week, but the rest of the time he is lounging around not doing any physical activities. I am thinking about doing this with him. Would it work? Would it be too hard for a couch potato?

My 5yo girl does it with me!:tongue_smilie: As far as couch potato, I seriously doubt he is anywhere near as couch potato as I am, and I can do it (with much sweat and groaning!) Karenciavo
Where did you find it for $7? It's that price at Costco. They also have quite a few Biggest Loser workouts for the same price.
GWOB
I Survived!!!!!!!!:) Yay!!! Will I be able to walk tomorrow??? Not without some difficulty. Now, what do I do tomorrow? Level 1 again?? Guest janainaz
I have The Shred, it is a good workout (watch your knees). It's fine for me as long as I mute Jillian's mouth. I'm not a fan of hers.
lauracolumbus
Are the knees a concern because of lunges?
newlifemom
I just did the last chance. 30 day was out at the store, but this was on sale. I almost threw up. Don't know if I can eat dinner now. Of course it is almost 8. Yikes! I have to feed my kids.
HollyDay
I would imagine the squats and the lunges would be a concern for the knees. I've had docs tell me women should not do lunges. Something about how our hips are tilted. Not sure if I believe that though.

EthiopianFood
Are the knees a concern because of lunges? They're a concern because of the entire DVD! :glare: Seriously, that is where I feel it the most, and I'm not even 30....
Frontier Mom
Got mine at Walmart last night for $9. Not as cheap but affordable! I'm about to try this. Hope I make it!! Gotta tell you, I'm a little afraid after the comments here. LOL.
LBS
its gotta be cheaper than the damage I'm doing by NOT exercising. Can anybody give me/us some tips: I see a deck of cards called "hot bod in a box" plus several books by this gal. Anybody with advice about which is best of all her stuff? I know sometimes exercise gurus just republish the same info, in a new package with add-ons like menus and recipes....I'd like just the core/guts, if possible, no frills. I'm thinking the Shred DVD and the deck of cards....reading another whole book is daunting and all those books on my bedside table just don't make me move. :nopity: LBS
Frontier Mom
Wow, this is a hard one!! I didn't feel so good after this and had to even walk in place a couple of times. But, I need some abs like that!! Hope I can move tomorrow.
