Favourites so far this year have been:
Itch by Simon Mayo
When You Reach Me by Rebecca Stead
The Wolf Brother series
Ranger's Apprentice series
Sisters Grimm series by Michael Buckley
Galore Park for English, Elmwood Press for maths, Pearson's Exploring Science & Happy Scientist. These are all materials my girls have asked to continue with next year.
I would do those last 2 chapters with her over the summer. Not only will it help her tolearn not to try to cut corners like that, it will also help you figure out what the problem was in case it has an impact on next year's material.
If you're using firefox you can use leech block
. Other browsers will have something similar you can add if you google your browsers name and site block.
I'd knock down the chimney breast that divides my kitchen & dining room so we'd have enough space to have groups of friends over without everyone falling over each other.
Or season 7 of Bones.:D
Please excuse the brevity, because I was just about to turn off the pc & go to bed!
What you need is http://www.cimt.plymouth.ac.uk/projects/mep/default.htm It's free, complete, and very good.:D
Thanks for this post - it reminded me to check if the library's copies of Mindset have arrived.
You might want to add Bounce by Matthew Syed to your reading list.;)
Ds and I agree. The dd's are currently listening to Secret Adversary as their bedtime story. They love the Poirot series with David Suchet, so I thought the Poirot books would be disappointing to then at this stage. The Tommy and Tuppence books are more character focused.
