Who's going to tackle Thursday with me?
Selkie replied to Jean in Newcastle's topic in The Chat Board
Good morning! •school •ponder what to get ds18 for his upcoming birthday (maybe a new saddle) •straighten up pantry •office work •clean hay steamer •order vegetable bouillon cubes & vitamins •duolingo •dinner: roasted sweet potato and portobello tacos •ride after dinner -
I just read about that same thing happening to someone. She not only found out that the man she knew as dad wasn't really her father, but also that she had several half siblings.

I use this mix from Simple Mills: https://www.amazon.com/Simple-Mills-Artisan-Bread-Ounce/dp/B015NBNNU4/ref=sr_1_2_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1506547790&sr=8-2&keywords=simple+mills+artisan+bread They make a great almond flour pizza crust mix, too!

Good morning! Traveling full-time is not for me. I couldn't leave where we live because I love it too much, plus the thought of living in an RV makes me claustrophobic! I do know people who have done it and loved it. My favorite tp is the Prince & Spring brand from Boxed.com. It has replaced Quilted Northern as our brand of choice! :) -
I'm sorry. :grouphug:

Happy birthday! :)

Are boys really that boring!

Neither of my boys were ever into coloring or glitter, but they are far from boring. -
Who's going to tackle Wednesday with me?
Selkie replied to Jean in Newcastle's topic in The Chat Board
Good morning! It's a lovely cool morning here and finally feels like fall. •school •run to post office •unpack subscribe & save boxes that arrived yesterday •office work (filing & reimbursements) •order parchment paper and pill pockets •vacuum & dust •clean bathrooms •coffee break with dh this afternoon •duolingo (I've skipped the last 2 days because I've been so busy and have probably forgotten everything :tongue_smilie: ) •dd & ds17 Model UN meeting •dd violin lesson •dinner: tom kha gai butternut squash soup and salad •ds18 & I are going to ride horses after dinner :hurray: -
Hugs to you - I'm glad you've found some things that bring you joy! For me, it is definitely riding horses. My life now, with my own little herd of 6 horses, is what I dreamed about as a kid.

It's kind of a mishmash of parts of a couple recipes from the Minimalist Baker. I make the crispy peanut tofu from this recipe: https://minimalistbaker.com/crispy-peanut-tofu-cauliflower-rice-stir-fry/ (I quadruple the amount of tofu, though, so there's plenty for everyone and my kids don't fight over it. ) and then I make the spicy chickpeas from this recipe: https://minimalistbaker.com/sweet-potato-chickpea-buddha-bowl/ I use frozen riced cauliflower and saute it with a little sesame oil. Then heat up some frozen broccoli and put it all on the table. :) It's so good!

late 60's for me, mid 60's for dh

I'm glad your dd is feeling better! When I was a little kid, I was playing outside on a very hot, humid day and got overheated and passed out. That's the one and only time I've ever fainted.
-
Same here (Illinois) minus the ton of rain. We only got a little sprinkling of it. But oh my, the drop in temperature is wonderful! :)

Who's going to tackle Tuesday with me?

Very hot and humid with drought conditions here in Illinois. But there is a cold front moving in - hurray!

Well done! :hurray:

I've had a lousy migraine all day and wanted to just lie down but decided to push through it and make dinner. I opened a cabinet door and a spice bottle fell out and hit the coffeemaker on the counter below - shattered the coffee pot that was full of hot coffee - which soaked my legs (luckily, I'm wearing jeans and not yoga pants!) - and flooded the counter, two drawers, a cabinet and the floor with coffee and pieces of glass. I seriously felt like crying. Dd just helped me get it all mopped up, and now I still have to make dinner. :glare: Can I just go to bed, please?

Good morning! Today is supposed to be our last scorching hot day and then a cold front is moving in - hallelujah. Hopefully, it will bring some much needed rain. The cooler weather will be a relief for ds18, who has been working outside (construction). He's been going through at least a dozen bottles of water every day at work during this heat wave. •school •grain and bedding delivery •water plants •run to town for groceries •straighten up house •go through credit card bills •duolingo •order some bulbs for flower beds •dinner: black bean and spaghetti squash tacos
