  1. I‘m not sure! It looks like it has the new bottle design like the new UV Elements, but that doesn’t mean the formulation changed like in elements. Their website is great about listing ingredients though, so I’d just compare them to the bottle you currently have and see if they’re the same. I hope it didn’t!
  2. Well, my 13-year old ds is very independent and has been his whole life. (He tried to change his own diapers as a baby! Lol) He can mostly take care of himself really. He regularly: *Makes simple meals for himself (he can use the air fryer, oven, stovetop, etc). Can follow directions and make a few recipes as well. *Mows our small lawn by himself *has been doing his own laundry for years *cleans his bathroom *walks, feeds, administers medication to our dogs *loads/unloads the dishwasher *takes out trash/recycling *rides his bike to the local shops and buys himself snacks, lunch, whatever *goes in the grocery store and picks up a few items, does self check-out *dog sits occasionally Some of these chores are on rotation with his brother, so he isn’t doing those things every day of every week.
  3. FYI: If anyone on here is a lover of the Elta MD UV Elements, they are changing the formula! I don’t know if my skin will like the new formula and this is the only sunscreen I have found so far that I’ve used every.single.day. I’m so bummed!! I just ordered 4 of the “old” formula from Amazon. It can be found still but not for long. The expiration dates on mine are 6/2026. ETA: I had to buy the 2-packs in order to get the old formula. (Which was fine since I was buying 4 and they’re cheaper that way!)
  4. If he’d like older movies, Vertigo and North by Northwest are good.
  5. I’m so sorry your pup is sick. The cause of vomiting is such a hard thing to diagnose. With one of my dogs, it turned out to be a very sludgy gall bladder that needed treatment. Years ago, I had a cocker spaniel with vomiting and dry heaving and he ended up almost dying from pancreatitis. Obviously it can be non-serious issues as well. But taking her in for this is a good idea, even if she’s scared. Hoping she feels better asap!
  6. Breakfast casserole Sausage balls
  7. IME, the narcissist had his “favorite” scapegoat, but was in no way limited with one. He likes to have a few handy at all times. ETA: I’m sorry you have to ask this question bc it means you have one in your life somehow. And for that I’m truly sorry. 😔
  8. I gave up. 🤷🏻‍♀️ My cattle dog has at least 3 “dirty woolies”. It’s one of her favorite toys. She often takes them outside, buries them, etc—hence the name. 😂
  9. I could eat black beans and rice every day. there’s a cold quinoa salad with fresh veggies that I like that lasts several days in the fridge. I could do overnight oats, peanut butter toast, or avocado toast every morning. Mainly, I’d love to never prepare another piece of meat again. It’s completely unappealing to me.
  10. Do your research on all things homeschool now. See if the “thing” your dc are interested in/care about is available there (sports, drama, ballet, whatever). If so, immediately seek info and get dc started upon arrival to build connections. If you do co-ops, you can check on those in advance too. Many will be doing registration now and could be full by the summer (for fall). These are my primary concerns when moving with teens and I research all of the above as soon as I know where we are moving. I’m not a social media person, but I get on local groups (homeschool, etc) if possible.
  11. Well, going along with “simple things we really don’t need” not “hunker down and make my own soap” like OP states, I’d definitely stop going to the thrift store. I always come home with something nice, but nothing I “needed.” (But it’s so fun and there are so many goodies at my local one.) Plants and flowers. I buy them all the time (and likely won’t stop). Kleenex. Just as easy to use TP. Pretty pens, stickers, etc for my paper calendar. I like school supplies but rarely do we need anything at this stage. Shoes. I buy shoes even if I don’t “need” them. Lip gloss, body lotion, etc. I’ll often buy these just to try something new even though I already have a boat load of them. (Looking at you Gold Bond Retinol and Korean sunscreen👀)
  12. I love these threads bc I am so terrible at paint color. It helps me to see your examples and hear the different takes on it (cool undertones, etc—I just can’t see stuff like that well!)
  13. Not for eggs, but we did beach towel and new trunks one year. It was a hit and was something dc needed anyway. for eggs, I’d just do change and dollars.
  14. If anyone is wanting to try this, it’s on major sale today! Less than $10.
  15. My mom was just telling me that she’s been using the Gold Bond Crepe Corrector and noticed a difference. And she is not one that’s into body products AT ALL. So she must’ve really noticed to mention it!
  16. Wow! That’s quite the sample @PeterPan! Please report back! (Although I suspect the dohm will be the winner 😉)
  17. Well, my sample size is small, but I have two kids who prefer the fan sound machines better even though they had the kind that make other noises to try also. My opinion is strong and I’m probably picky, but I can’t even use the fan sound app on my phone, or the travel-sized sound machine my mil bought me. So, yeah, maybe if you’re stocking a whole house with them, get one that does a variety of sounds since some people do prefer that. But I just love the one linked above for creating a soft fan sound. I would not be able to use one that had the waves, rivers, etc.
  18. This ^^^. We have several and they are by far the favorite. No birds, waves, etc for us! In a pinch, we will just use an actual fan, but I have this exact one linked above in my room, one in DC’s room, and one available for guests. I also take it in my suitcase every time we travel.
  19. Are you able to compare and contrast this to Elta MD UV Elementts? Or even the Australian gold botanicals? (It seems like I remember you posting in other skin care threads!). I love, love my Elta MD, but man it’s pricey! I probably won’t ever give it up, but maybe…
