  1. I wear makeup maybe once a year, if someone is getting married and i remember to pack some. I shower, shave and keep my hair neat and tidy except when exercising and then I look like Cousin It:tongue_smilie: I wear comfortable clothes that I feel good in so in my eyes I look good;)
  2. Is this a new study, different then the one from last month or has it just been changed?
  3. Thanks Astrid, I was hoping you would see this for them! Allene
  4. I found some you tube videos that the AKC Juniors facebook kids sent me that might help your daughter. Any updates as to what your daughter is going to do? Have you reached anyone in the showing to help you out with answers?
  5. She could also do a different science and do Astonomy as an elective.
  6. animal chores. I realize I probably should have been more specific. 1)My daughter(12) walks the puppy, feeds then rewalks the puppy. While that is occurring my son is getting dressed and gets hay for all 3 rabbits. 2) son(7) then plays with the puppy and works on training for a few minutes. daughter feeds 3 cats, cleans their litterboxes and the upstairs bathroom then she gets dressed. She will also check and feed/water her gerbils at that time. 3) daughter then lets out the other dogs, feeds and medicates them, then lets them out again. 4) daughter then makes breakfast for herself and her brother. 5) daughter then feeds bunnies and cleans their litterboxes. 6) then off to cardio kickboxing and karate. This is the Mond,Tues,Thursday schedule. On Wed and Friday we do not have morning karate so schoolwork is started earlier and daughter does a fitness dvd and both children practice katas together. Somehow all of that connects in my mind to animal chores :P
  7. Why not just a prettier sports bra. I get mine from Title Nine. I am quite busty so I like the Athena Tech but they have a lot of ones that look great and are comfy!
  8. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.4055599836909.201237.1489475392&type=1&l=b6392e040c Hope this works for you. Just a couple of other pictures of our canines! Enjoy!:001_smile:
  9. crying is oaky. if you can tolerate it try a hot/warm shower. :grouphug:
  10. I will tell my daughter you said that. She will appreciate it a lot. She can take 40 or 500 pictures of the critters and each one turns out very cute. I might get lucky with 1 picture, go figure.
  11. Yes. That is my female, Tori. My daughter gets the best pictures of her!
  12. You are going to need to have the cat vetted, checked for intestinal parasites and Feline Leukemia/FIV, then vaccines started. If there are intestinal parasites you should probably have the dog dewormed again as well. Make sure that your children understand that cleaning the cat litter box should be done at least once per day and they wash their hands every time when they are done. The whole box should be cleaned out on a weekly basis then. Are you planning on keeping the cat indoors now as well? If not then he needs to be altered asap. Kittens can reproduce as early as 4-5 months sometimes. SO he really should not be out and about until he is altered. Congrats on the newest family member. You also might want to consider having him microchipped to help you in your ownership of him then.
  13. Chiropractic care but for me I had to work through and get myself muscled up. Karate, cardio kickboxing plus extra every single day. Really makes a difference. :grouphug:
  14. http://ireaderreview.com/category/free-books/ ireaderlove.com both of these sites post new free or cheap books almost daily. They list them by subject so you can gauge if it is the genre you are looking for.
  15. There could be a lot of things going on with him. If he is not on any preventatives then i would recommend at least an exam, a fecal exam checking for intestinal parasites and possibly some bloodwork when it is appropriate to check for tick borne diseases. Boiled chicken/hamburger and rice can help settle the stomach from diarrhea but he should also have some good probiotics. Really though at least a fecal exam should be done though. :grouphug:
  16. Had a huge message just disappear on me so this one shall be more brief :( Junior Showmanship can be done with a mixed breed for a certain level of novice then once that level is attained by the child they must use a purebred dog. So this is doable with your dog right now. Contact the 4-H county leaders who are leading the show for your info. In our county, ( I help lead with 3 others for our dog group) our children have to do a lot of book work, at least 7 project per year from the book(with writing and answers, etc), an end of the year project such as a poster, diorama, scrapbook, sculpture, etc of something they learned about or worked on for the year and have to attend the last 5 meetings to be able to show in our end of the year showing. Those are our 4-H county rules, not ours. We have a few others of our own but nothing abnormal for dog showing. If someone from another county or club wants to show in our end of the year show they have to provide proof to the county that those things have been accomplished. if they cannot prove it then 4-H does not let them show. Contact groomers, vets, trainers in your area for references of dog groups. Also Facebook has a great AKC Juniors group where the children really do talk almost nothing but dogs. If you join they might be able to help you find people in your area. Having someone mentor really makes things a lot easier.
  17. the ecollar should extend past the nose and you should be able to close the cone and have both sides touch with the nose not touching the edges. It should also be tight like a regular collar should be. You should only be able to fit 2 fingers between the collar and the neck. With that said, some still do figure out how to bend them to get to their sore sites. You will also need to find out why she is chewing. Are allergies causing her to be itchy or is it nerve bases or is there pain at that site? Those are the most common reasons for these to develop. You can also try certain things like bitter apple around but never on the exposed area of the wound. Depending on the site you can try putting a sock over the area but it also needs to be exposed to the air at times so only covering it with the sock at certain times, maybe at night. :grouphug: They make different types of ecollars as well, some are called bite no more collars that if you are finding true difficulty with a well fitted ecollar you could try those.
  18. They were recommended by another poster and I recommended against them. They are not for the regular owner. These are an indepentant breed that has the ability and brains to think on their own. That means if your childs friend is there and they are rough housing it is in their nature to control the situation and potential threat. I adore this breed, will always have 1 (at least) but they are not what I believe the op is looking for. They need a high, secure fence and really so much more. They can drool, they are a longer lived xlarge breed of dog but are very strong willed, protective dogs. My children could do that(climb all over) to my dogs if I ever thought there was a reason to allow that but no other child could. Of course I would never allow a child to climb on my dogs. They shed heavily at least twice a year. I vacumm 2-4 times per day during coat blowing season. Not sure what you mean by heavy training because if you do not find a way to work with this breed you will lose their confidance quickly. I could go on about the breed as I own, work with one of the rescues and adore the breed but we get many into the rescue because many people do not understand the level of commitment that this breed should have.
  19. I would not recommend an Anatolian. I have 2 (house dogs)and work with one of the breed rescues. They would not be recommended for what she is looking for. Too protective and too much of an independant thinker. I will never be without 1 or more:tongue_smilie: but they are not a breed for everyone! I think there were many great suggestions though that she can start looking into now.
  20. I would have told my daughter later that I felt she should have thanked both myself and her brother. That I found it upsetting that she did not. That probably would have been it but I am not one to really go to friends birthday parties so I do not think I would have rearranged a set day schedule in my mind for that anyway.
