  1. I've never looked at Intermediate but I am doing a condensed version of Primary with my K and 2nd grader and I think it is very easy and simple. I do the reading aloud as it is pretty quick but my 2nd grader could easily do it on her own as well (although she is a pretty good reader). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. The nautilus doesn't fit tall kids as long as the frontier, if that matters to you. We went with the Frontier because my daughter is tall and we love it. I LOVE the click tight. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. We bought it at Target today and I started it. I am not loving the format but I'm excited to see where the story goes! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Relationship at 17 and married at 19. DH was 23 and 24, so a little older but I've always been pretty old for my age as an oldest and an INTJ. Our first year of marriage was like one long honeymoon. Adding a kid in at just over a year shook things up but we adjusted. We were set up fairly well financially at the beginning thanks to my Dad putting a lot of pressure on DH lol. I wasn't thankful at the time for it but I see now why he did it. We've been married almost 9 years now and I've never doubted I married the perfect man for me and we have a pretty awesome marriage I think (but not without its difficulties at times as well). 5. I had not even seen the Ludere Latine activity book, so I'm so glad you both brought it up. I definitely was thinking more along the lines of something in case she begins struggling with grasping the concepts. I have no prior experience in Latin myself, although I'm hoping to do some self study on it soon. And thank you for mentioning checking out how the class is going to be scheduled. I will look into that. I showed the Ludere Latine sample and the Review sample to my daughter and she said she preferred the review anyway! She likes to write and isn't as much into busywork, probably similar to your daughter, Tita, so I think if it ends up being my choice I will go with the review.
  6. I don't know why I didn't think to link to them! https://www.memoriapress.com/curriculum/latin/latina-christiana-review-worksheets/ These are what I was referring to, but thank you for sharing your experiences! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. So so sorry Aimee. I will be praying for you all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. My 7 1/2 year old daughter is going to be working through Latina Christiana with our co-op this next year. I am wondering if it would be good to purchase the extra review worksheets along with the student book? The reason I ask is because I wonder if working on a section of the worksheet each day (the student lessons in the book just seem so short!) would help her retain better? She does like worksheets and does well with independent materials. We are going to be using Memoria Press' grammar as well since they correspond, if that makes any difference. Does anyone have personal experience using the worksheets? Were they helpful or just too much extra and not really needed? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. California: Electric: averages about $90 a month Cell phone: This is on a big plan with a bunch of DH's family. Because we organize and send bills out to them all ours ends up much cheaper for us for unlimited texting and calls with about 10 gb of data for DH and I. I think we end up covering about $30 of the bill Gas: $30 a month Water & Sewer: $102 a month Trash: DH usually just takes dump loads for customers and then throws ours in. If we didn't do this it would be about $12 a month for a load to the local dump Internet: $50 a month can't get anything cheaper here Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Ditto SparklyUnicorn. Our house is old and not in the "best" neighborhood so I would do more nice things, as it would increase the value of our home more than a few super nice things. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. We took our 7 and 5 year old to see it (it is their favorite book) and we all liked it! It is a slower paced movie but I feel like it kept the spirit of the book pretty well and although there were a few changes I kind of liked them and though they fit well. Overall I would give it 4 stars! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I love Charlie Puth but I don't think he fits your requirements perfectly. I also like Ed Sheeran Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Oh it will be perfect then! Glad to help! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I bought Reading Roadmaps at the convention and it wasn't quite what I expected, although I do like it! I was expecting something like Timeline of Classics (next on my list to get) where it is a long book list of different books you have the option to have your kids read at a certain stage (although like you said that's set up chronologically not by grade specifically). RR is set up as a program to help you teach Lit. He has different time frames for going through books with your kids, so do you want to have a Socratic discussion once a month, once every six week, once a quarter, etc? You choose which "plan" and go to the grade level in that plan and he has books chosen in order with a break down of conflict, theme, etc to help you discuss it. And for each book he has an alternate suggestion. I plan to use his plan for 3rd grade with my daughter next year. This is what the inside looks like for the monthly model for 2nd grade. Each grade has a two page spread. Hope this helps! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Have you looked into or tried D-Mannose? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I would return what you already bought or save it for a more worthy future baby and don't give anything. She sounds crazy stuck up. ETA: You can buy those diapers a lot of places (Target carries them in my area) so I think the "you can buy them at Whole Foods" was way uncalled for. If she had just said I still need diapers and a high chair that would be a whole other ball game. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Spray or have someone come in and do it. That's what I ended up doing after having them for a month and despite my best efforts and a boatload of laundry not being able to get rid of them! I told DH if he ever brings them home again I will not be happy! (He picked them up at an empty rental he manages and brought them home.) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. We take a piece of AstroTurf to lay outside the front of our pop up to help keep the dirt out and for a place to put babies when we have them. When we got our pop up last year I outfitted it with the necessary towels (I just put some old ones in there), sheets, pots, pans and utensils so that when we go camping I don't have to pack much more than our clothes. It is so handy and makes my life much easier! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. If you can't do a Toyota or a Honda I would stick with the Kia as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Prime is not what it used to be here either. Before I got things in 2-3 days (because I live in the boonies as well), now it is minimum 3-4 days. Most of my NON prime orders come quicker or in the same time frame. I will not be renewing prime when it expires. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I think you probably could. We just re did our master and spent about $2,500 doing it all ourselves, but we did a fiberglass insert and popped out one wall to make it bigger. Plus we had to have custom built cabinets but they were from a friend who was amazingly affordable. I also bought the floor tile and counter tiles off of craigslist for $25 so we only had to buy accent tiles (which cost more than the rest of the tile :P). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. We went for a week in February to Universal for 3 days and a day at the Space Center. Both DH and I wish we had done 2 days. There is SO much to see and you can definitely spend an entire day! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I totally know what you mean. Those forums are so full of drama and lack of respect for others it makes me sick! I'm not in the same situation as you (28 and expecting my 5th, my 3rd was stillborn) but I completely agree with you. I'm so sorry you had to deal with that. Talk about it here all you want! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. 20, 22, 26 and I just turned 28 and am 12 weeks pregnant. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. My daughter is only in 205 but I use a timer as well. I give her 40 minutes and if she does her best I don't make her finish the lesson (usually she's just about finished it). I use Xtramath instead of the speed drills as it's much more "fun" for her. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
