  1. Oh I'm so sorry!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I am so sorry for your loss and will keep you all in my prayers! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. My friend has on every year but it is much more low key than what you've described. I think she usually requests about 5-6 dozen but she wouldn't care if you came without and we leave them on the counter to try and snack on and then when you leave you exchange some of yours for other types. The only issue with that is people who leave earlier can be kind of greedy and not leave much for those who leave later on but it doesn't bother me since I don't want a bunch of them at home anyway. :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. We just bought three games a couple of weeks ago when Target did the same sale! We got Ticket to Ride Europe and have enjoyed it so far. We also got King of Tokyo but haven't played it yet. Sabeoteur is a fun, simple game that a lot of people can play!
  5. We have had a Neato for about a year and I had no idea how much u relied on that thing! We have mostly wood laminate and it does great in there. I've also been extremely impressed with its mapping technology. Right now it's getting a warranty replacement because I didn't clean the hair out often enough and I'm hating sweeping again! iPads are nice but a robotic vacuum will make your life so much simpler!
  6. I wouldn't use Cytotec since it hasn't been vetted to be safe for induction. That said, do what is best for you. I am so so sorry for your loss. When my son was stillborn at 33 weeks I was going to be induced but went into labor on the way there. With my rainbow baby I had my water broken and when nothing happened after 20 hours they induced me with pitocin which went fairly well
  7. My DH's family makes a cranberry salad that is delicious! It has cranberries, grapes, marshmallows, nuts and whipping cream. And DH's family always has a family cinnamon roll recipe (his Dad's side is full Swedish so there's lots of cardamom in it) for dessert.
  8. My babies were all 6-8 lbs (adjusted for gestation) and I am a stay at home, Christian mom with natural childbirths.
  9. I want to travel again so badly, in my teens I got to visit several different countries and it lit a fire that hasn't gone out but right now we're trying to focus on paying off our house and letting our kids get a little older... Meanwhile my "bucket list" is growing by the mile. Bavaria is definitely on the list and the Faroe Islands look amazing! Machu Picchu is on both DH and my lists and more likely since DH wants to go to South America more than anywhere else since its the only continent he hasn't been to aside from Antarctica.
  10. I asked DH (he has more hands on experience and knowledge of the products) and he said if you're just heating water the jet boil is better as it uses much less fuel and is lighter to pack because of that. He also said there is a jet boil that has a cooking top so if you're son would want that in the future just make sure to get the model with that option.
  11. My husband has a jet boil and I bought my BIL a pocket rocket last year. I think the pocket rocket is a better purchase.
  12. I drive a Sienna now and used to drive an Odyssey and I think the Sienna handles better. But for what you want a minivan is definitely a better choice. The Pilot does not have very much room in the back and I'd hate being squished in there with stuff and kids.
  13. My best friend is a professional photographer so every November she does an outdoor photo shoot for us and takes shots of all of us and the kids individually. She charges $150 and we get a CD with all the photos. This has worked out really well for us and I love having the photos. We use them for our walls and for giving to family as well. We've done this for 6 years now but the first two we just had my sister take them and the next year my BIL who is an amateur took them. Every year since then my friend has taken them. I have a DSLR so if I need shots of the kids I take them myself. The only professional photos I ever had done of any of the kids are from when my third was stillborn. The same friend came and took photos at the hospital for me since she is apart of NILMDTS and those photos are greatly treasured.
  14. My kids are almost 7 and 5 and these are some of the ones they love: Richard Scarry's Busytown (your 2 yr old could play this) Hey, That's My Fish Incan Gold (has some scary looking cards and if your 2 yr old likes to put things in her mouth not w good idea) Set Junior (your 2 yr old could play the easy version somewhat) Carcassone (easily adaptable for both even with the regular version)
  15. I ordered through the same sale! We got Catan Junior, Ticket to Ride Europe and King of Tokyo
  16. Monterey would definitely fit that if it wasn't in the winter, it can get cold there, especially in the fog. Cambria is also nice and San Diego!
  17. You definitely need a comparative market analysis and you should get a few. Realtors will all come up with different prices, so contact three or so and ask them to tell you what they think and then go from there!
  18. Floradix or Hemaplex (I prefer a tablet so I took Hemaplex) will help immensely! But she needs a lot of rest and fluids like the other mamas have said! I hope she gets the care she deserves!
  19. That was a very shaking episode! I am surprised Mary is just realizing it as well but I'm glad she finally is. And I don't like the car driver, I hope Black comes back, I did like him. I can't stand Denker and I wish Sprat had just told on himself so they could get rid of her.
  20. I went on the Durango Silverton train when I was 8 and have great memories of it. We stayed at a campground on Lake Vallecito and it was beautiful, I hope to take my kids there someday!
  21. The boots and jacket idea sound really cute, I'll have to look around for boots. I'm buying some for both my older kids anyway since they're in the wedding so why not?? Thanks for the ideas so far!
  22. Also perhaps I should mention this is a fairly casual wedding. The groom and groomsmen will be wearing black jeans and royal blue long sleeve button up shirts with cowboy boots. I'm not sure what the bridesmaids are wearing (aside from royal blue and boots as well) but my daughter is a flower girl and her dress is pretty casual/western and lacy looking. So I don't want to go too dressy and look out of place in family photos.
  23. Snicker plum I like the cropped sweaters those are cute! Jean I would never have thought of silver. I think I just got rid of a silver shawl a couple of months ago lol. Arctic I did not see that sweater when I was there! Guess I should have looked around more!
  24. My BIL is getting married on January 1st in Texas and I bought this dress to wear: http://m.dressbarn.com/mt/www.dressbarn.com/detail/lace-surplice-fit-and-flare-dress/102397100/956?un_jtt_v_usite=dressbarn&un_jtt_redirect But I will need a sweater and I'm assuming it should probably be a tan/nude color so as to not look too black (although the wedding colors are black and royal blue). What style and color sweater would you recommend? I am thinking that a "hangy" style or anything with a pattern/lace would not go well with this dress but am I right? I would like to stay under $40 for the sweater but preferably $25 or so. Is something like this: http://m.macys.com/shop/product/karen-scott-button-down-cardigan-only-at-macys?ID=2196533&CategoryID=260 too simple? Thank you for your tips... I am very fashion inept lol. Any shoe tips (I was thinking something with a small heel would be better than flats? Anything with much heel won't work) or jewelry ideas (I was just thinking nice earrings) would be welcome as well! TIA!
