  1. At about a year is normal for molting so if they're the same age then that would probably play into it. Mine completely quit laying if they molt in the winter/fall for a month or so. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Is it possible they're going to molt? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Hard candies are fine, as is other non perishable type candies. No chocolate or anything that might expire soon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Same with mine. That was the main reason I got the 800 over the 500 with the third rack and I'm pleased I did. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. We got a Bosch 800 series about 6 months ago with the three rack system and I love it. I've cleaned out the filter a couple of times and never had any issues with it, it's really easy and quick. It's so quiet and I puffy heart the top silverware rack. I can fit SO much more in there without having the silverware in the bottom basket. I was afraid I wouldn't be happy with the drying but it dries much better than my previous heated dry dishwasher. The hot water it uses and the way it draws it to the stainless tub works so well. 6. No I didn't when we did in February. (And play around with the different types of cars and times if you can. I got an amazing rate getting a small SUV that ended up being cheaper than anything else I could find on Costco or otherwise!) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I also buy from Plant Therapy and have been very happy with the quality and price! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. We did California to east Texas in two days last winter and my youngest DD was 15 months. I packed a box of pre separated baggies of a variety of snacks and it was the best thing I took. I did goldfish, fruit snacks, cut up apples, dried fruit and etc. My DD is now 2 and she loves the aquadoodle so that's a great idea. She also loves the iPad so I would consider that or something similar for a long trip if you have one. We also got a toy with a steering wheel that made lots of noise but she loved it when we went before and she still plays with it. Another thing that was a hit with all the kids was a basket of a variety of new and favorite books that I pulled from throughout the trip. I planned to have a "new" item or snack every 2 hours plus some extra snacks and that seemed adequate. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. We are going to one this year for the first time. Our church doesn't do anything for Halloween and a friend of my Mom's invited us all to their church's trunk or treat. It is open to the community. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. In my family (5 kids, I'm the only one married with kids) we buy individual gifts and I usually get something $15-$20 for each of my siblings and $25-$30 for my parents. My Grandma that lives here also gets a gift and the one that lives far away gets photos and a card (she has Alzheimer's and doesn't remember us anymore). All my siblings usually buy gifts for the kids except maybe the ones that aren't as good with money and are usually broke. [emoji12] We sometimes get together with my Mom's brother and my cousins on that side and if so we do a $25 gift exchange and each draw a name. They usually get something small for the kids as we haven't included the kids in the exchange. In DH's family we don't do gifts for the niece/nephews (currently my kids have 3 cousins) as eventually that would make us broke lol. I'm considering gifting a Christmas book each year to each family for the kids as I'm kind of the "book/practical aunt" and am not super into toys. The adults do a gift exchange worth about $50 each and then we get something for FIL and MIL. DH's only living grandparent lives in NM and we never see her so I usually mail her pictures as well. Grandparents of course get the kids stuff and so they have gifts to open too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. And thank you to everyone else for their input! I will have to plan a time to go and visit the studios without DD to find out if it is even a possibility to start in January and to the person who suggested asking about placement I will do that as well as DD will be turning 8 in December. 12. Thanks for the suggestion on checking teacher qualifications, I will do that! I definitely am not interested in doing competitions, both of the studios that were recommended have competition groups you can audition for from what I can see on their web pages but there is no way I could fit that into our schedule. 13. I wish this was an option!! In our area I would probably have to drive an hour to get to a town with a rec center that only maybe offered ballet and I can't commit to a two hour drive once a week right now. [emoji20] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. We can definitely afford it in the long term so that isn't an issue, DH and I both just felt that we wanted DD to really *want* to do it as well and not just have it be a passing interest so we agreed that when she would ask we'd just suggest she ask for it for her birthday as that was enough time we felt if she was still interested then we'd take the plunge. And we keep birthday parties to grandparents and aunts/uncles so it would just be a suggestion we would be sharing with family. For us the hesitation isn't the money as much as the time. We live half an hour from the studios and so something like dropping DD off would be difficult unless I'm just going to sit in the car with my younger kids and wait which would not be nice during our hotter part of the year! 15. That's true and I would like her to do some recitals I'm just not always sure it will be feasible to *always* do them and therefore would prefer it to be optional. I think it would be a great growing experience for her to do them and one of the studios I'm looking at only has one a year which doesn't seem too difficult to do. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. My daughter is begging for ballet lessons and we've encouraged her to request that everyone pitch in on it for her birthday (at the end of December so we would likely begin in January) but I have absolutely no experience with dance lessons. I never took any as a child, nor did any of my siblings. I asked on some local Facebook groups I'm apart of for recommendations in our local (30 mins away for us) town for the best dance studios. Out of 3 there were 2 that were pretty evenly recommended. Should I just pick one and go with that or do I visit them and look for certain things and then choose? Is it typical to drop off for lessons, as that's something I might not prefer to do all the time? And I think I would like recitals to be optional, or is this a negative? Thanks for any help as I prefer to make informed decisions and am feeling clueless when it comes to this! [emoji1] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  19. I don't have a regular set "me" time but I do head up a mom group that meets once a month to talk and share together so I always get out alone those nights and it's really nice. DH will sometimes suggest I go out by myself but that doesn't happen often and I don't usually feel like I need to get out alone too much. I'm good with just reading at home after everyone else goes to bed if I need some time to myself. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. This is the one I have! I usually put about a cup and a half of cream. I've never tried to see what the true maximum capacity is. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. It's very easy to clean and the cartridge lasts for one filling of the can. Once it loses its seal (by being opened) it will need a new one. I find one filling lasts about a week and a half or two before it gets too thick and starts to go bad. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Ours is named McGeek (we've had several pets named after NCIS characters so continued the trend with our Neato). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I have one and I love it! I have to remind people to turn it all the way upside down when they use it as we've had some air bubble spray issues but other than that it works great and I love being able to make it fresh in such an easy way! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. We have a Neato that we run on our hard floors daily (that's all of our house except the bedrooms) and I love love love it! Our Neato does have a brush and gets the edges, though he isn't perfect he does a decent job. I do clean out the brush about once a month and the dust bin once a week or so. It was a surprise Christmas gift two years ago and I thought I wouldn't like it for the price but now I couldn't live without it lol. Oh and our couch is an IKEA Ektorp with the same slipcover style and I just push the cover edges up when I want him to do under it. It doesn't need to be done every day. The one thing I don't like is that we do usually put our dining chairs up so he'll get through that faster and he can't fit under our cupboards so we have to sweep the stuff out from under them daily. I would probably get a roomba instead if I didn't have to do that. Oh and the one thing that made me like the Neato better is that he has a method to his madness and goes in order whereas the roomba just randomly vacuums all over the room (this is probably why he's faster) which would drive me nuts.
