  6. That is great... I need to remember to do this weekly. I know my sanity starts to lack once co-op gets going :(
  7. We are starting then too, but SHHHHHHHH (don't tell my mom or she will make me visit and I don't want to go into why that would be bad:D ) but we have put it off for the 2nd time now... We were going to start July 6th but umm I was not ready and then we were suppose to start this last Monday and my son got a full scholarship to camp so we put it off for 2 weeks.
  8. We are using the Themes book and the American Literature, and I am even using the 7th grade book with my youngest. I love the selections and the questions, my kids answer their questions in a notebook and we discuss them. It has freed me, we have had lots of personal issues going on this year and so therefore we had to change and this is doable! hope that helps! blessings lori
  9. I have a great one this week... my oldest son was being goofy at the lake :lol::lol::lol: the link is in my signy
  10. I have been wondering about this Michele, can you give a quick review of Lifepac's? is it easy to implement?
  11. Yeah then I think you could easily do it... I would check and see if Book 1 of fractions and decimals is absolutly necessary. And you might want to pick the pages (you don't have to do every page) but yeah for those ages YES! HTH lori
  12. How about Apples Spelling Drills they have two volumes? I am using it with my 9th grader and he is going to finish Vol.1 this year and will go to volume 2 mid-year it is great. HTH lori
  13. he loves science, he loves doing workbook-y type things. We are doing an ocean study in the fall (complete with dissections) and he is taking a general science at co-op but he would love to do some more science at home:001_huh: Can you tell he like science??? Any ideas? need something cheap and workbook-y and not dumbed down or kiddy-ish thanks lori

  21. Indeed! My goal with my non LD child is very different from my 2 LD sons... I found that the rules really seems to have helped them, and if they don't get it correct at least it is close enough so you can figure out. :001_huh: Yup my youngest sometimes was very puzzling with his spelling but is a lot better now....
  22. I think the best program is what works for your kids :D...HAHA just saying
  23. It has helped my son so much, I wish I would have known about with my older son but my older son also had a specialis work with him. It is a very easy program to implement, one of the easiest I have seen in 11yo of homeschooling. I plan to use the last two books and than transition my youngest into the Apples Spelling Drill books. hth lori
