  1. I was picked but it hasn't started yet. The email I received said to expect to hear something in a couple of weeks. That was about a week ago, I think. I know there was at least one other member picked as well.
  2. Here's a little piece of advice from dd's pediatrician: Lay child on his/her back, place finger to close the clear nostril. Place mouth over child's mouth (as if to do mouth to mouth) and blow gently. The item will shoot out of the nostril. I have used this technique twice on dd and it worked like a charm each time.
  3. I use Melaleuca Prespot. I have also used Shout Advantage. the trick is to rub it real well after applying and let it sit at LEAST 24 hours before washing. I've been able to remove just about anything with those two, including dry erase marker.
  4. We are doing a candy free egg hunt with friends this year. Things I've filled the eggs with are magnets, bookmarks, erasers, head bands, barrettes, key chains, tattoos, pin on buttons, cute nail brushes, silly putty (eggs inside eggs!), coins, glitter, lip balm, stickers, shoe laces, squinkies, bouncy balls... anything fun that will fit in an egg!
  5. :iagree:Or even if you were both in high school at the same time. I say dh was my high school sweetheart because I was in high school when we were dating. He went to the same school but had already graduated before I got there. :D
  6. Sweet! Your daughter is very talented ~ they are beautiful!
  7. "Well that makes so much more sense! I was thinking you looked awfully young to be her mother. I wonder where I got that idea from?"
  8. They said it will be a couple of weeks yet before we actually get to try it but I will definitely post a review after I've had a chance to use it. I hope I like it; I haven't had much luck with other digital planners. Hope to see some more announcements here soon!
  9. Check your emails, I just got one saying I'm in! :hurray:
  10. :iagree:DD sees how much homework her friends have and feels sorry for them.
  11. :iagree: A friend just got beautiful (Pottery Barn) slipcovers at Ugly Sofa for insanely cheap. I wish they had them large enough for my ridiculously huge sofa.
  12. :grouphug: I am the same way, it's extremely frustrating. Makes me so mad ~ then I cry some more!
  13. One of my favorite recipes. It calls for thighs but I have done it with legs too. Just might need to cut cooking time down by a few minutes depending on the size. Oven Roasted Chicken Thighs with Carrots and Yukon Gold Potatoes
  14. I like the way she thinks, Grandma!
  15. I think I posted that - glad it was a hit! Oooh, I didn't know there was a cookbook. Will definitely have to check it out, thanks!
  16. I had a really long day and I'm going to bed. Good night. :001_smile:
  17. I paid $3.44 on base in east Mississippi. It's usually $3 or 4¢ cheaper than in town.
  18. We bought the plans and the accessories from, I think it was called Swing & Slide then bought all the lumber and cut it ourselves. It cost us less than $500 and we love it! It has 3 swings and a fort. We ended skipping the slide. - that also saved a lot.
  19. I know there was a recent thread about book or series suggestions for people who liked The Hunger Games but I'm not having any luck searching for it. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks!!
  20. It looks like USPS to me. I have done the exact same thing and got the item with no problem. Paypal sent shipping confirmation saying it was going to my old address but the seller had hand written the new address on the package. That's probably what happened to you.
  21. Facebook and TV. I'm actually looking Forward to it!
  22. Interesting. Just had a magazine saleslady "from" Chicago stop by the other day. We're in Mississippi.
  23. Oh yeah, I have seen that stuff before. It would never have occurred to me to use it - thanks for sharing!
