  1. Maharajah curry (Empty bowl in front of me right now:001_smile:) Garam Masala Tuscan Sunset Adobo, Fajita & Taco Chipotle Powder Cinnamon Aleppo Pepper Foxpoint Blend Singapore California Basil Baking or Cake Spice Peppercorns Pizza Seasoning Fennel Dried Shallots Dried Bell Peppers (for when you run out of fresh) Candied Ginger The toasted onions make a great dip with sour cream and a little beef boullion powder. There's more in the cabinet, but those are some of my flavorites.
  2. I really love my Miele. I got it used on ebay and boy does it suck! Really quiet on low, the brush tool is great on smooth floors and easy to use. Never thought I would love a vacuum, but I do :001_smile:.
  3. There are some Yahoo groups for HSing the higher grades that have some good discussions. Maybe you'd find some ideas there? Homeschool to College Home Schooling High School HSingHighSchool
  4. I didn't know Welch's makes chokecherry jelly!:D Thanks for the ideas, ladies! I know what our next project might be.
  5. Fable's a real beauty. I don't have any experience with this, but the wedge to lift the heel sounds good. I'd think it's critical to keep any tension off that tendon as she puts weight on that leg. Maybe there a way to combine the two ideas-keep the splint, add the wedge with it? That way she'd have the support of the splint, especially when she gets up. And with the heel lifted too, to minimize pull on the tendon. I think if she were my girl, I'd ask for both. Watch the other hind for signs of strain since it's doing double duty and lots of loving on her. I know she's getting plenty of TLC. :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug: Please keep us updated.
  6. My vet recommended a 95% protein grain-free wet food. Mine do great on Evo 95% or Core Wellness. ( I try to keep the price down by ordering online by the case and stacking a sale with a discount code.) I keep hearing that raw is best, if you add in the vitamins etc, but...
  7. Yes, my biggest concern is big money and lobbyists having way too much control over policy. Time after time, good policy is abandoned because of money invested by special interests. It's so frustrating.
  8. You have a good point there. And I do agree with the policy. I'm much more comfortable purchasing from someone who didn't just appear yesterday. If she just showed back up and joined in a bit, that 50 posts wouldn't take long. This is a really interesting community with a lot of topics. But the problem with that is you find yourself checking back in and joining into conversations and learning things and spending way too much time here. It's downright habitforming! :D
  9. I never knew exactly what a DO was, and I'm curious. Can you explain the difference in their training? Besides the extra naturopathy, how is the medical training less rigorous?
  10. maybe she's just introverted and shy about posting? (And you really don't want to hear about my boring life, do you?)
  11. Well, they could just go where each chose to go and meet back up at the equator afterward. But then there's an argument over whether anyone is even allowed to go to the north pole? And the south pole advocate is absolutely adamant that the north pole is immoral and NOBODY should be allowed to go there at all. Then what...
  12. That logic completely escapes me... How is this a result of OVERregulation?????
  13. I don't think this belongs in ANY classroom. It's inappropriate because it's too loaded with current connotations and political bias. It's much more appropriate to use a plain historic portrait.
  14.:thumbup::thumbup: Well done! Congrats to all of you. :D Love that mare!
  15. Yes! :iagree: And for another example the level of mercury in a vax is supposedly comparable to a can of tuna. I'm not saying that mercury in either (or in dental fillings!) is a good thing, but I'm guessing that many people who are concerned about vaccines DO have canned tuna in their pantry. And they've probably already consumed a lot more mercury from that without a second thought. Am I happy the ingredients used sometimes in them? No. But vaccines do save countless lives so I try to weigh the cost/risk of each one with the potential benefit in a logical informed choice. And I do have an occasional tuna sandwich too :001_smile:
  16. There are sites that let you search Amazon discounts like these: Junglesearch Consumerist
  17. Butterflied or roadkill chicken cooks in under an hour. And a thermometer will take all the guesswork out of it for you. (Now I'm starting to get hungry!)
  18. Yes, this isn't the end. It's just the beginning of a new story. :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:
