:iagree:Yep. This exactly. My oldest is in ps (11th grade), 7th and 5th graders are home this year. Dd 11 will go to ps middle school next year. We do what works for each child.

This thread is great! When you are a man, home alone for a weekend because your wife is out of town and kids are at grandma and grandpa's house, and you need to get something from the garage.... Don't go into the garage late at night, in your underwear, when it is -10 degrees outside and let the door close behind you, then realize that the door locked from the INSIDE. And then further realize that the front and back doors to your house are also locked. You will find out that you'd rather rip the doorknob out of the door, shredding it to pieces, than to knock on your next door neighbor's door at midnight in January, in your undies. :D

I did EXACTLY this!! My kids will never let me live down the cinnamon flavored burritos we had one night for dinner....

Sorry, I haven't been on the boards for a few days, but I scanned quickly and didn't see anything about the fire west of Boulder. Someone who posts here a lot (and now I can't remember her name) lives in that area. Just wondering if she and her family are okay??!! :confused:
