  1. I carry a filled syringe with a cap in a plastic bag. My son's doctor strongly prefers liquid over chewable tabs.
  2. Fleece sheets are wonderful, I found ours at Costco last year.
  3. I have the Whirlpool Duet as well but haven't had the joy of these codes yet :). Try leaving it unplugged for at least 10 minutes. If that doesn't work, sounds like a connection issue if you are inclined to open it up check here is some info http://www.fixya.com/support/t1057832-f_06_error_code
  4. What brand and what code?? I have become quite good at fixing ours!
  5. Mine do and I love it. They are all still asleep at 7:43 :). My early bird is usually up at 5:50 in the spring & summer.
  6. I mostly grew up there and would love to go back. I hope you find a group soon.
  7. Easiest to sit down and bump up one step at a time, or if you have a sturdy rail and one crutch, have him hop backwards up each step, you would stay downhill of him and can help hold cast. Hope he is feeling better soon!!
  8. Is he having trouble going up/down stairs?
  9. This is our first year for year round, will start in 2 weeks. I am excited though the scheduling aspect has my head spinning, travel soccer for 1, rec soccer and dance for the twins and scouts for my DD. I have always been more productive when very busy, hoping that is the case still!
  10. I had the identical concerns 2 years ago. My b/g twins have a July 10 birthday and my DD has always liked to color, write and sit still for books. Her twin, well his nickname has been wiggles since birth!!! You would think he had an allergy to any writing implement. HS wasn't on my radar at that time so I worried. I would have them in different grades in school for only very extreme reasons. We did very minimal seat work for prek, and although he grumbled sometimes he did well. They are both doing wonderful with similar reading skills and math and he is actually better with handwriting, shockingly!! He will spend a ton of focused time on art projects. I make sure he has oodles of outside time and exercise every day. I am thrilled ( and relieved) with how well academics are going.
  11. The twins were going to be Ryan (boy) & Emily up until a week prior to birth, can't really recall why we changed both.

    That sounds awesome!!
  13. My friend has decided to homeschool her son, he is 13, has some issues with anxiety (not medicated), issues with being bullied, missed a fair bit of school last winter with illness and will not be promoted from 7th to 8th grade if he returns to public school. Mom works 8-4 mon thru fri, dad is a police officer who works days and evenings. His grandfather will be with him and could help teach some. I encouraged her to have him take the math mammoth end of year 6th grade to get some idea of where he is with math skills. I told her about time4 learning (I have never used & have only HS K & 2nd so far). Budget is around $200-300 Please offer advice for curriculum (secular or Christian) and any other ideas. Thanks
  14. My DD (6) was average in summer swim & both boys were top 10 in the county (6 year old free & back, 8 year old free, back, & fly) so they may have some decent potential. We have really enjoyed the friendships (kids & adults) and would love to continue with those. I have heard of some drama with a few programs nearby but our summer coach has a great reputation & is leaving one of the other clubs to start this new team. I am hopeful it with work out or us without be overwhelming.
  15. Thank you! The program we are looking at is new, a new YMCA was built and our summer coach is hoping to be hired to run that program. I am hoping the schedule will allow us to participate. The coach also homeschools so in my ideal world she will have some day time practices :)
  16. My kids (8,6,6) are intersted in winter or year round swim team. We have done summer swim team for 3 years. What should I expect? How many practices per week? How often are meets? Is it possible to play soccer, basketball etc as well as swim? Thanks for any insight!
  17. I would take another one first thing in the morning

  19. There are natural physiological curves that should be present in the spine (forward and back, not sideways).
  20. Ceiling track would be great. Lower light switches, higher plug ins, light switch by remote or an additional one accessible while in bed. Shower with no or very minimal lip. Grab bars throughout bathroom. No steps at all to enter home. Intercom system.
  21. I am a PT. I think it is a great profession! School was intense - 35-40 hours a week of classes or clinicals. I have worked in the acute hospital setting, ortho/sports, wound care, rehab and currently my absolute favorite - pediatric home health. I go to kids houses to work on development for NICU grads as well as older kids with injuries or illnesses. This job offers a ton of flexibility with my schedule and I can do charting after my kids are in bed. It can be a pretty physically demanding job in some settings but the pros definitely outweighs the cons.
  22. We like Aqua Sphere Kaiman
