  1. Ice cold milk and an Oreo cookie They forever go together ...
  2. I would think the camp has a policy and procedures already in place. Is there a nurse at the camp? I would ask the father to borrow the epi pen trainer and information so you can become familiar with it. My 11 year old is allergic to peanuts and is very good about reading labels and skipping foods he is not sure are safe. He has been to several camps - each had a very detailed allergy protocol & tables for eating where peanut foods were not allowed.
  3. Non weight bearing has a 78% increase in energy demand compared to normal walking -per Ergonomics for Rehabilitation Professionals.
  4. Ergo carrier can be used front, side, or back.
  5. I feel like all of mine (but particularly my younger DS) have naturally done parkour since conception! We just started going to a parkour gym which they all love. They do one hour of parkour and 1 hour of silks each time. I think they are actually a little safer with their antics since there is a lot of technique work and proper demonstration required before they can do certain tasks. They found Disney World to be a fantastic place to parkour through.
  6. Some surgeons will not allow ibuprofen for first 6 weeks post op - I believe due to delaying bone healing.

  10. Waterproof socks work great! I've had mine for >15 years. My 11year old outgrew his boots- he wore my socks with regular tennis shoes for hours sledding and climbing in > 2 feet of snow with no problems. Feet stayed warm and dry.

  13. My DS was able to challenge walnut and pecan at home. He did the almond challenge at the allergist's office. He wasn't fond of almonds at all - but did finish it - I did bribe/encourage him with a trip to but a new lego set when the test was over - he was 6 at the time. He is quite careful and somewhat anxious about his allergies (which is great really), so there was a fair bit of convincing by me and the doctor that he was safe. His peanut numbers are still > 100 so no challenge for that unfortunately

  16. So, I feel pretty good about my progress in January. Had a week vacation and came home to 29 inches of snow so that slowed me down somewhat. I completed: all kitchen cabinets, entry closet, family room, linen closet, bathroom cabinets, all my clothes, my closet, bedside table, under bed, kids shoes, started on paperwork files. Feb goals: finish paperwork, kids toys, basement storage closet, older DS closet, older DS clothes, start twins' closet/clothes. How is everyone else doing??
  17. Just northeast of Baltimore- we just flew back tonight from vaca in Florida. Main roads were pretty good but not all lanes open. Our neighborhood I hilly and not cleared well at all. Massive shoveling mostly completed. Thank goodness we had a friend drive us to the airport so we didn't have to dig out our van in long term parking. I miss the warm weather!!!!!! Will need to do some grocery shopping soon, hope it is not too crazy.

I love that is it a long movie and they left really early to get good seats :hurray: :hurray: So, I attacked the kitchen - 6 drawers, all utensils, spice cabinet (was really dreading this one but was actually not too bad), all cabinets except under sink and one other (plan to do by day's end), pantry and fridge.
