I have been burned by craiglisters before where I travel 2 hours to pick up a stroller, spoke to them before I got in the car to head there and they stood me up. We started back with some light work when dh started back but we have camp in 10 days! Then we will start back in full swing. Considering doing a dump of the school room next week so it looks more organized and less cluttered.... I say push school back or do field trips.

It will depend on her state and type of midwife she wants to be. In Texas we have documented midwives and there is a program set up for them. Other places might require her to be a certified nurse midwife. I know lots of people that are doula's first and then branch out to become midwives. It gives them experience working around laboring women and some experience as well as they see how different things are handled by the medical care provider.
