  1. I really like Dress Barn dress pants. Would short work for you versus petite? My second go to is JC Penney, Worthington brand. These are also available in short and have held up very well.
  2. Ugh, so frustrating! I have had really good customer service with Best Buy and Geek Squad, even when dealing with a refurbished purchased online that was locked when it arrived. Apparently they forgot to clean up "Bob's computer" before I purchased it  When I complained at what a pain this was for me, they kindly issued me a gift card. You have a very legitimate problem and I would think they would get it corrected ASAP. I would go that route before dealing with the manufacturer where you will likely get bounced around from rep to rep.
  3. I am so, so sorry. :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:
  4. If his symptoms are still the same today, I'd be finding another ER. I am very surprised they let him go home.
  5. Not sure about the resizing but before you leave it there, I would take tons of pictures of it. I've heard many stories of jewelry stores switching out stones (particularly chain stores).
  6. When my house gets like this, I mop the floors really well and vacuum. It seems to help. You could also try opening boxes of baking soda and leaving them around the house to absorb the odors.
  7. Have you had any heart tests (an echo)? The fatigue and shortness of breath stand out to me. Glad you are going to be seeing a specialist! Can he order any tests while you're waiting though? DH and Ds both had a few days of headache in the back of the head and upper neck/back pain, generalized fatigue. I didn't google when they were ill because I didn't want to freak myself out, but wondering if there's a virus going around causing those unusual symptoms.
  8. Spoonful of honey. There are actual studies out there finding that this is beneficial. Poor kid!!
  9. I do laundry the exact same way your DH does and my DH gets annoyed, as you do. I remind him all the time he is welcome to do his own laundry anytime. :D
  10. I have an account and recently got hired in the healthcare field. I still don't really get the point of it at all and haven't really used it for anything. I'm about to close my account because the emails are annoying.
  11. I would make an appt with her primary doctor/pediatrician and ask for asthma testing. Many primary providers have this testing available right in the office. Of course it could be other issues, but exercise induced asthma comes to mind first. Her primary should be able to handle this without needing a specialist as long as her symptoms can be controlled.
  12. I do not like spaghetti sauce at all, but I'll eat it if no other options. My favorite sauce for meatballs is grape jelly and chili sauce, cooked in a crockpot. My kids love it as well. Super easy. The other recipe I love (but haven't found) is a similar tangy sauce and the meatballs are made with rice.
  13. If you can't get a CT or an MRI scheduled today, I would go the nearest children's ER and ask for her to be admitted. You've dealt with this for quite some time now and I think it's important to rule out the big things. Today. Hugs!!
  14. Yes and always will be. I vote for the pro-life candidate no matter what. IMO, the unborn is the most vulnerable population. The other issues, although also important, are secondary to me.
  15. No I do not drink milk unless you count chocolate milk on occasion (yum!). Just don't care for it otherwise. I eat yogurt everyday and take calcium/vit D gummies. 1 out of 3 kids is a milk drinker. The rest I encourage yogurt, cheese, etc. We do go through a lot of milk for cereal and recipes. 2 to 3 gallons a week.
  16. Just checking in to see if you found out anything yesterday? Hoping it was nothing major!
  17. Agree. I would have blown this off as a silly hoax, but when one was sighted by numerous people including adults with a weapon very near my kids' schools, that changed my entire perspective of this craze.
  18. Do you have anyone that could take the animal for a trial period to see if he improves? That would be the first thing on my list to try, I would not want to have to medicate year round even if it's a beloved pet. And if he has symptoms year round, I would think that's a strong possibility.
  19. Have you tried changing to Flonase instead? Worth a try, IMO. Has the doctor mentioned Singulair? It has a different mechanism of action than than the anti-histamines. Getting rid of our carpet on the main floor and going with wood floors, as well as new carpet in the bedrooms has helped DS with his nighttime allergy related cough. It needed done, so we didn't do that specifically for him, but I have noticed an improvement.
  20. Can you try an urgent care? They can do an EKG and some initial labs. You really should have your blood pressure checked ASAP with the headache. My other thoughts are acid reflux, but don't bank on that until your heart has been ruled out.
  21. Had this same issue with my elementary age kids; they would not sleep in their own beds a few nights ago. Since it has settled down a bit at school, they are much more at ease now. I just reminded them they are just very rude people trying to scare kids and there is no way they can enter the school since it's so locked down.
  22. Yes, several schools were named in my area, as well as specific students. This was all over twitter and IG. There are many reports in a neighboring town of sightings, but it's so hard to sort out what actually was seen versus rumors.
  23. It has hit our area the last few days. Numerous specific threats against schools and individual students in our area. It caused chaos for a few days among students but has settled down. There was a sighting by adults near the school (not on the property) of one with a chainsaw. The principal came out with a letter but it pointed to it all being a hoax; I noticed he ignored mentioning the sighting very near the school. Luckily our schools are very, very secure so I'm not worried. That said, it is very unsettling. DD is convinced something big is about to happen to our country. She now is not allowed to walk to the playground/ice cream shop after school anymore until this settles down, since the sighting was right near where many students go hang out. If anything, it has given good reason to discuss safety with my kids and I'm very glad we have a security system.
  24. I didn't know who she was before your post but if you google her name and the word 'clothes', quite a few websites pop up. She also has her own blog in which she discusses her wardrobe among other topics. Good luck!
