  2. I took chicken out of my freezer on Friday and put it in my fridge to defrost and never cooked it. Would you cook it today and eat it?
  3. My 3rd grader is struggling with her multiplication tables.Can anyone recommend any online programs that I can set her up with to go over the tables? I would like something that I can direct her to use while I am working with my other kids. Thanks!

  6. Not to muddle the waters but if you are more interested in Tony Horton programs P90X3 will be released on Dec. 10th. That will be 16 workouts each 30 minutes long.
  7. Yes, you can do it as many times a week as you want, but obviously you won't get as good of results as if you did it everyday BUT you will get better results than doing nothing at all :)
  8. Ok in the interest of full disclosure I am a beachbody coach.... So yes, I have used the program and would HIGHLY recommend it. It is really a great program. Each workout is only 30 minutes and all workouts in the first two stages (Alpha and Gamma) have a modifier so it is wonderful for a beginner. Your daughter can just modify the moves she has a problem with and then modify less as needed. I ran an Accountability group for FocusT25 when it first came out and my members did great. It really is appropriate for everyone. If you are interested I can send you some videos and testimonials if you need help making the decision. Send me a pm with ANY questions you have!! It really is a great program!! Edit to add: I know a lot of people get scared because Shaun T is the trainer and he did Insantity and that is --well insane :) . This program is really appropriate for all levels of fitness.
  9. I'm not sure but I'm laughing only because in my house there is no such thing as an abundance of milk. We drink about a gallon a day!!
  10. I remember doing this when I was a kid in elementary school...I also remember walking around pretending I was pregnant ;) Since I didn't get married until I was 25 and didn't have my first child until I was almost 28 I don't think there was any harm in playing it.
  11. I haven't read all the responses but I have been following this story and actually posted about it on my fitness page today as well. I think the people who are most upset with it are the people who tend to use the "excuses" the most and they get mad when someone calls them out about it--and I say that as someone who has used excuses to get out of exercise or to explain why I was heavy in the past. You know the whole--I don't have time to work out or I have little kids so I run around after them and that is my workout or my husband works alot and I can't make time for myself...those excuses, and yes, they are excuses. Like I said I used to use those exact excuses myself, until I decided to stop making excuses and to do something about myself and my weight. I stopped making excuses and I started watching what I was eating and I started exercising daily. I eventually became a beachbody coach and am I perfect? No way, no one is but I have lost 35 lbs and changed the way I look and more importantly, the way I feel. Do I look like the woman in the picture? Nope. Will i ever? Maybe if I keep working hard but looking like her isn't the point. The point is to stop making excuses and start doing something. Every one of us can stop eating junk or stop overeating. Every one of us can work out. You don't need a gym membership or fancy equipment, heck you don't even need to leave your living room. You don't need a lot of time each day. Most of my workouts are 30 minutes or less. It is time for women to stop making excuses and to stop putting their health and they way they feel about themselves behind everyone else's needs. If it is important enough to you then you will make time to do it.
  12. I mean this in the best possible way but could this be a blessing in disguise? I have been reading your updates about your son for the past 4 years and know that it has at times been a struggle. Maybe this will be a way for him and you to get him the help that he needs. He has had violent tendencies towards you and your belongings in the past, and while this doesn't seem like an overly violent situation maybe this will be the wake up call that he needs. I hope that it all works out the best ((((hugs))))
  13. I recently lost about 35 lbs and need to lose another 10. For me I ate high protein, low carb but what really made the difference is when I started working out. That is really when I saw the changes to my body, my shape and the way my clothes fit. For me, I started with 10 Minute Trainer and then moved on to FocusT25 ( which are both Beachbody programs) . I like that I can workout at home, in my living room and it is quick, less than 30 minutes each day. Lifting weights is vital and no, you won't bulk up. Weights help you build long, lean muscles,which in turn help you burn calories and lose weight. Let me know if you have any questions, I would love to help!!

  15. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the new ShaunT program FocusT25. Did I say I LOVE IT? It is only 25 minutes a day and it is a GREAT workout. I struggles finding something to do that fit in my busy schedule with 5 kids but this has been perfect for me. I can send you some info on it if you are interested, I am a Beachbody coach so I don't want to spam you with a link here but if anyone is interested in more information please pm me. And I truly do love the program, I'm not just saying that :lol:
  16. I use emeals and really like it. The recipes I have made have been successful with my family and it helps to break up the routine and gets us to try new recipes/flavors. I have a promo code if you are interested, send me a pm and I'll send you a link.
  17. Well I feel really lucky! I live in PA and our district asks us NOT to even send portfolios in (although it is the law) because there are so many homeschoolers they get too many portfolios to review. They ask only for the evaluators letter confirming that the portfolio met the evaluators review.
