  1. To quickly answer some questions, I have five kids~oldest 9, youngest 6 months. We would like to stay 5 nights. Right now i'm considering staying in the cabins at Ft. Wilderness or the new Art of Animation. These are chosen strictly because of the size of our family. We would like to keep the total trip under $5,000. Thanks!
  2. May I ask when you are going? And when you say they are offering a meal plan do you mean Free dining? I'm trying to plan something for this November/December. Thanks!
  3. My husband and I are trying to decide if we should take the kids on a quick trip to Disney World this November. Any tips or suggestions to get the most bang for our buck? On site? Off site? Park Hopper Passes or no? Disney dinning? Thanks!
  4. It looks great! We are getting ready to redo our bathroom as well but we can't decide if we want to keep the original claw foot tub or replace it so we haven't started yet. There is also no storage in our bathroom at all so I'm envious of your cabinets!! We need to figure out how to get some in our bathroom. Can't wait to see your finished product :001_smile:
  5. I have large area rugs on top of hardwood floors in my downstairs and I want to have them steam cleaned. Will they do it right in place or will the carpets need to be moved off of the hardwood floors? Thanks!
  6. They are 7 and 9 and will be swimming for an hour twice a week. However that hour will be right smack in the middle of when we typically have dinner so I'm sure they will be hungry.
  7. Is this enough? If not, what would you add? Daily Phonics Pathways Handwriting Structured reading Unstructured reading FLL The Complete Writer Math 2x a week Sonlight science SOTW Thanks! ETA: Music and Art are taken care of at a weekly co-op and he is very involved in sports.
  8. I signed two of my kids up for swim team today so I need some snack/meal suggestions to keep up their energy levels. Thanks!
  9. Thank you so much for your suggestions. I will look into all of them. He is so excited that reading is finally "clicking" for him, it has been a struggle. He wants to read but I don't want him to get frustrated with books that are too babyish or too hard. Thanks again!
  10. A little background. My son is 9 and going into 3rd grade. However, he is a struggling reader and reads at about a mid year 1st grade. I'm looking for some suggestions on easy books that don't seem too babyish... He's getting sick of Biscuit and Clifford, etc. Can you suggest anything? Thanks!
  11. Well, I think you posted the wrong photo....:001_smile:

  13. Thanks everyone for the hugs and the understanding. We have been homeschooling for three years and while we have agreed to disagree its seems like every year at this time she gets a little crazy....:001_huh: Like I said I knew it was coming, she has been dropping hints about sending them to school but she finally cornered me last night and decided to offer her "opinion," since according to her its her right as a grandparent..... And actually, me ruining the kids lives was just a small part of the lecture:glare: Oh well, it will blow over again I'm sure.... Thanks again.
  14. Thanks for the hugs...I know she's wrong, I do...but there is still a small part of me that thinks...what if she's right?
  15. Thanks ...I do know that but its nice to hear from someone else... BTW: the "rude" person was my mom:glare:
  16. Got the "You are ruining your children's lives" speech tonight.....knew it was coming but it still sucked...
  17. Truthfully? At 11 months the kid would be eating whatever we were eating as long as I could mash it or cut it up small enough... a favorite here was always pasta with sauce and then given a rough chop. ETA: Okay I went back and re-read your question and saw that you asked about fruits and veggies in particular. Same answer applies, anything you would normally feed the rest of your kids just cut up for the baby.
  18. So is my husband, he will be in Tampa for the convention....
  19. How about the fact that she has now purchased the house across the street from where he lives...can we say awkward when they break up?
