I had rosacea earlier this year. The derm prescribed Soolantra in the AM (which was fine, though it felt funny to take ivermectin); Epsolay in the PM (a kind of benzoyl peroxide); and a several month course of doxy. I was hesitant to take the doxy, but did, and had several weeks of stomach upset when I finally discontinued it. If I were to have a flare again, I'd see if I could just do the Soolantra and a non-prescription-grade benzoyl peroxide or other option. Echoing other posters above that CeraVe products are really helpful!

The New York Times had an article on this very topic today: https://www.nytimes.com/2023/07/18/realestate/overnight-guests-bedroom-space.html?unlocked_article_code=Hh0fZThdGogROtkvWQYwpwcuiba_0QmCdiWYm-qBwD1atioupDSJQjUKI_guPD2BpzCx3Q9fA_uZrts9vt_EAWE0bbHjIMafQ4S8dKmHZfX3RkewJ2_BzqslCTMo1rTqtZiXT3hosfcr2wFkmOjpjEe4lZr2qiRwAbvTkzy58tlGBamMfqRpe9fH0gca6MXPsrBf1gLYO96DT01iL5lgZOSze6il07Tq7Un_DxOBk-doz3E-JpF3i4k9s7TPc2BTQjstdJmTcZ61VW8krTdcuUvuY33rk-7MYB50JRt31Pk6crQaCKGrL_3UAqBpXPyaVnSyh3hw-4OWh6dQ_mqLgi0ZzVJvUs76VCj2&smid=url-share. Some of the options are (as always for the Times!) very pricey, but might be fun as a source of inspiration.

Oh dear Lord, forget selling this house, I am burning it down!
azucena replied to DawnM's topic in The Chat Board
When I was a child, we moved into a new house. My younger brother opened the cabinet under the sink and cried out happily, "Mommy, this house comes with a hamster!" [Narrator: it was not, in fact, a hamster.]- 52 replies

Update/revisiting ... about root canals/crowns.

I am a tooth grinder / clencher, especially in times of stress. I found the instructions for masseter (jaw muscle) massage given here to be quite useful: https://www.painscience.com/articles/spot-07-masseter.php . -
I did read her off and on over the years, and I understood from her postings in recent years that she had struggled with depression and addiction. It's a very sad story and my heart goes out to her children and family.

That sounds beautiful. I hope the service brings peace to all who attend. -
Planning a funeral - update at end with question

Hugs and good thoughts for you. If you have someone who can pull together a photo slideshow, we found that to be a very meaningful part of both my father's and father-in-law's funerals (shown before the service). It can be a nice way to reflect on the person's whole life, not just the moment of passing. -
Planning a funeral - update at end with question
azucena replied to lauraw4321's topic in The Chat Board
Yes, this 100%. I ended up making scripture and hymn choices for my father-in-law's funeral. I think they were appropriate, but I don't know whether they were the best choices. -

If you were in elementary school in the mid-1970s...
azucena replied to EKS's topic in The Chat Board
I remember set theory from elementary school in the 1970s. I don't recall the specific textbook you linked to. But I definitely remember set notation and the axiom that "the empty set is a member of every set." -
I have found that an over-the-counter probiotic has been helpful over the past few years (could be correlation instead of causation, but worth a try).

So sorry for your loss. It is so hard to lose such a good companion.

What about a Uniqlo packable down jacket? Like this: https://www.uniqlo.com/us/en/products/E452738-000/00?colorDisplayCode=69&sizeDisplayCode=003. Not super puffy, can be crammed in a backpack, and the price is not too $$$.

14yo ds will be starting 9th grade in the fall (in B&M school). He loved learning Latin with Ecce Romani 1 over the past two years and is interested in a way to continue learning Latin as an extracurricular. Any suggestions about online courses, tutors, or self-study tips? Thanks so much for any advice.

Could your allergist ramp up the dosage less aggressively? We got a dog and I got shots for about six months with few side effects, and they definitely reduced my reactions to her. I stopped before the recommended time and now need to go back, as I am getting very teary-eyed ...

The BBC / British Museum podcasts "Germany: Memories of a Nation" were really interesting to me (http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b04dwbwz). You could use them as supplements; I especially thought the ones on Goethe and Gutenberg were appealing.

If the student is old enough to have friends that are getting married, the student is old enough to understand the original commitment he/she made. You are not being unreasonable, in my opinion.
