  1. Praying you find an answer. As others said, the tests for CF are non-invasive. My brother has CF. He had a double lung transplant 14 years ago. He is now 43 years old. I wish he'd lived his life as if he would have a future. I don't think he had any idea he would have such a good prognosis.
  2. Red Wagon Tutorials is discontinuing their discs. You can read about it on their site. I actually just purchased the Chemistry one. They are still available for a limited time through CBD and Rainbow Resource.
  3. Now that you mention it, no we haven't. I hadn't even realized it. That seems strange.
  4. I really need that magic want. I hate doing house projects. We have a whole list of things that need to be done here. House painted Master bath remodel (very small bathroom) kitchen remodel/flooring Flooring in the rest of the house Electrical redone including running computer cables to different rooms Go through all kids clothes Pretty much everything needs tobe cleaned That should do it for awhile!
  5. Yes. The spiral-bound TM has solutions in the back with minimal detail, but the newer hard-bound book has more in-depth solutions. I used the older version with my first child. The older solutions were enough for us. It is not JUST the answers in the old version. I did use the newer solutions with my second child.
  6. There is a big difference between the comb-bound older Algebra edition and the newer one. The newer one has completely expanded solutions for every Algebra problem. The older one did not. There is an answer supplement available for the comb-bound edition. I know it exists because I own it. I only own the newer Geometry and Algebra II, so I can't comment on the older editions for those levels. The newer hard-bound books are much nicer to handle.
  7. I tend to buy "experience" things, especially groupon deals. :) So far I bought my two boys a two-hour Segway tour. I bought my older one two flights in a nearby jet flight simulator. I bought him the 737 simulator for his birthday last summer and he loved it. He is into all things aviation. Last year I bought all three kids one-year passes to Knott's Berry Farm (a nearby amusement park). I also buy Magazine subscriptions. Last year I bought Popular Mechanics, Popular Science, and some car magazine. I can't remember the name of it. I always watch for online deals.
  8. We liked the Rick Steves book. Definitely do The Tower of London and the double-decker buses. It might be too cold to enjoy the bus, though.
  9. We've been with Kaiser for a couple of years. They are very efficient. We never have a problem getting appointments. I got recommendations for doctors from friends. We have many up-to-date facilities to choose from when making appointments. We also hav their vision. It has been excellent. Kaiser has been a good experience for us.
  10. My dd had a hand-me down iPod shuffle at 5 or 6. By 7 or 8 she gradeuated to a Nano. She's had the iTouch for a year or two and she's 11 now.
  11. Exepdit or Billy bookcases. You can never have too many bookcases! And don't forget the meatballs. :)
  12. I bought the $100 guitar from Costco last year for my 11yo. We bought a hard case, a better tuner, and some other accessories during this past year. It is full-size, but she has done fine with it. I'm not a guitar player, but I am a musician. It seems fine for a beginner.
  13. Awesome! Thanks. I am hoping this will be a big help to son.
  14. 43 tens all together. 3 tens in the tens place.
