  1. I like your pros, but I don't see any cons. You can place a playpen in your attached playroom area for nap time, or you can purchase a baby monitor. When I started homeschooling my girls were in 1st and 2nd grade. Our school day was 1 to 2 hours per day in the morning with a half hour to an hour in the afternoon for Story of the World. I didn't do much multitasking at that grade level unless is was setting up the next lesson or recording the last subject.
  2. I have no advice. I just have some :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:for you.:001_smile:
  3. I would advise trying to go no-poo. We rotate using baking soda and/or apple cider vinegar. We don't use them straight. We use a plastic bottle to pre-mix them with water.
  4. My guess would be no since there were stories a few years back about wheat and allergies. The host must be made from wheat and not rice.
  5. We had a dog and cat when I was young die from Frontline. It attacked their nervous system.
  6. :confused: I can't understand not drinking wine if you are a Christian.:confused: Jesus drank wine. Jesus made wine out of water for the wedding. :blink: No?:blink:
  7. :iagree:I have daughters. I don't want them to be ashamed of their bodies as other generations were.
  8. It is still done in my diocese out of tradition, but only if you want to pick one. It was suggested to my daughter's class that they use their baptismal names.
  9. Wow! You guys are great to set this up for us.:D
  10. :eek:No!:eek: :crying::crying:I was so looking forward to going.:crying::crying:
  11. Everything looks a-okay.

  12. Yuck. :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug: Several years ago, I had to clean buckets for two weeks.
  13. Yes, I place all of my cold stuff together on the belt first. Then, I place all of my fresh fruits and vegetables that must be unloaded and put right away. I feel I never know what might happen on the way home. I may need to get my perishable items away quickly.
  14. :iagree:You have a good point here. I belong to a group which only has their leaders on the board sign the statement of faith, but anyone can join as long as they respect that the group is Christian. It is why I stopped helping and planning any activities for the group.
  15. Catholic here. Our girls sit with us during Mass unless they are singing in the Children's Choir. Once a month, we have Children's Liturgy of the Word. The children are asked if they would like to to come up and sit with our priest right infront of the altar.
  16. Kelli, You have a good point here. I have seen this first hand irl. My Catholic education was not so hot. My parents grew apart from the church and into the flower children of the 60s and 70s. I was the one that pulled them back to their faith when I was a young around 76. My mother had a tough childhood. She lost her father to cancer when she was 16.
