  1. :grouphug: My DH is currently deployed to Afghanistan as well, and I completely understand how it feels to not hear from a loved one over there. It helps me to remember that *no news is good news*! I will be praying for your family and for you son's safety. :grouphug:
  2. ....and now you've got me clicking through all the other comics!
  3. I always carry one, and it is usually on the larger size. It always has my keys, iphone, wallet, a pen, hand sanitizer, and chapstick in there. I usually throw in my day planner and a notepad as well. However, my water bottle, the kids' ipods, a cardigan, and other random things end up in there too. :)
  4. Another Eagles fan here!! My son started football practice this week, and 2 of his coaches are former NFL players. Unfortunately, neither of them played for Philadelphia - but one had to admit that it looks like a good year for them! :)
  5. Hunter Tristan Rylen Wesley Asher Luke Levi Judah Elijah Jocelyn Noel Aspen Isabella Shiloh Avonlea Claira Lorelei Ainsling Harper Alanna Genevieve Imogen
  6. I joined! I've gone through the TM a few times now and can't wait to start either! :)
  7. I would also highly recommend Dave Ramsey's program for teens, as well as his books for adults and younger children. Unfortunately, I don't know of a program that is free.... unless your son could simply listen to Ramsey's radio show or check out his books from the library?
  8. Kanani is my daughter's favorite, but Julie is a very close second! I love all the accessories they have for Kanani, especially the surfboard. :) I was so sad when they retired Samantha, Felicity, and Kirsten and agree that Molly might be next. I *think* I might have even read that on their website around Christmas but can't find mention of it now.
  9. :iagree: with looking into a vasectomy reversal. A friend from DH's last ship had this done (I think Tricare covered it as well), and his beautiful daughter was born last month!
  10. I wasn't offended, but perhaps I just don't know what you are referring to! I assumed *that* thread was started because of Russell Crowe's recent tweets, so I didn't think twice about it. P.S. Great blog!
  11. Both of my children like juice, but rarely drink it. When they do, it's 100% orange juice with breakfast.
  12. I haven't read the last 20 pages of replies, but I am pro-life and not opposed to circumcision. Russell Crowe really started something!:tongue_smilie:
  13. This is the color of our kitchen! I love it! Our master bedroom used to be gold as well, and I didn't like it either. It is now SW Rainwashed, while our master bath is SW Rain. I love blues and greens and find them incredibly calming and soothing. A welcome room to relax in at the end of the day. :)
  14. I will definitely be upgrading our Macs. Not necessarily because of Lion's new features, but because you never know what their following operating system will offer... Paying $29 to upgrade now is much better than paying $130 later when you skipped a version. I gathered from the email Apple sent that iCloud is replacing MobileMe (basically the same thing); we get to keep our Me email address; and it will be free (as opposed to the $99/year that MobileMe now costs).
  15. I can't wait to see Breaking Dawn either! I'm wondering at what point in the book they will end BD Part 1? As much as I loved the final book, I think Eclipse might have been my favorite.... or maybe Twilight.... oh, I can't decide! :)
  16. :iagree::iagree: Oh how true that is!! :) And you treasure every moment together!
  17. :grouphug: As a military wife whose husband is on his 4th deployment in 6 years.... I feel your pain.
  18. I just got back and really enjoyed it! Loved MFW, Accountable Kids, Rainbow Resource, Lifetime Books, and CLE booths. I enjoyed David Hazell's lecture on combining the best of classical, Charlotte Mason, and unit studies. Also enjoyed Shirley Solis's lecture on preparing sons for life. :)
  19. Both. Hunter has continued to decrease in popularity the past 10 years, while Jocelyn has slowly increased. But neither are in the top 50, which is what I was going for. Growing up, I disliked having to go by Jennifer [Last Initial] because there were always several other girls with the same name. I think Jennifer was the #1 name many years of my childhood!
  20. I use Firefox most of the time, but I also have Flock, Chrome, Opera, and Safari.
  21. Same here!! And coming from my son who formerly LOVED math - I had to switch.
  22. Personally, I would like to be done by the time I turn 35. I guess I don't consider a woman an "older" mother until she is having children in her 40s.
