  1. The Blue Book of Grammar and Punctuation. It was recommended by IEW and I was about to order it when I stumbled upon the free PDF download after a google search.
  2. I do believe some people just don't get it. I don't think you sound unreasonable. I'm sorry- sending hugs your way.
  3. My email states its a refund, so it better be a refund. :glare:
  4. Here's my update: Hello, I am sorry to know about the disappointment you had because of not receiving email for $60.00 promotional offer on Kindle. That's definitely not what we want our customers to experience. The company aims to consistently deliver a professional service to our customers and I would like to state that on this occasion the level of service you received was unacceptable. Please be assure that Amazon.com and all its partner websites treat all the customers equally and are available at their service 24x7. I'd like to inform you that, this promotional benefit is still running with Amazon and we're trying to offer this promotional benefit to maximum customer. Please note that promotional email has been sent randomly to customers. I've checked your history and I would like to thank you for your ongoing support and continual purchasing throughout the years. Your purchase history is outstanding and I would personally like to keep your patronage. You are certainly the type of customer that we would like to retain. In appreciation to your valuable business, I'd request you to place an order for a new kindle device from your account and please let us know the order details and we'll refund $60.00 on the order once the order ships out. Please accept it as a goodwill gesture and an apology for adding to your stress level on this special occasion. I am once again sorry for the inconvenience that this may have caused to you. The company is actively working to improve service levels and your feedback has proved to be invaluable. You are our regular customer and we would like to continue our relationship with you. I request you to forgive us as we promise you a better service next time. Your patience and understanding is highly appreciated in this matter. Thanks for using kindle.
  5. Wow! This is a lot to deal with. Sending hugs your way. We're you ever able to look into the work at home jobs?
  6. With the latest ios7 update, there are some new parental controls built in.
  7. Have you checked with your dr on how you slowly you should taper off? Both my boys were on lamictal for 6 years for seizures and one of them was also on Klonopin. It was a 6 week process to wean them off. I would imagine that would vary depending on height/weight and your current dosage of meds.
  8. We bought them and then resold them. The Magic Tree House series got my reluctant readers reading. For that, I am grateful. :tongue_smilie: If you can afford them, get them.
  9. From what I understand West allows you to work for more than one company, I believe the other companies vary. Then again, that may have changed. I've only been with West for the past 6 years. I have this phone: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Plantronics-T10-Corded-Headset-Telephone/13221631 I only paid $63 for it last year, but to be honest, I used a regular phone with a headset for almost 5 years before I invested in a good phone.
  10. I didn't have to pay for my background check, butt hat may have changed. You pick your own schedule and you can pick up hours in 30 min increments. Depending on the client you are assigned to, hours vary. Some offer 24 hours around the clock, but for GE, hours are between 7am-10pm ET on weekdays, 8am-6pm ET on weekends. I work anywhere from 15-40 hr a week. In fact, I'm working right now. Pay rate varies by client as well. GE pays $8 an hour, but during the busy season (coming up during the holidays) you can get premium pay into $10.50 an hour. You won't get rich, but it's convenient and save on gas and time.
  11. You would need a landline corded phone with headset with no phone features. You would not need longcdistance service, as all calls are incoming calls. A few other companies that you could look into are www.liveops.com, www.arise.com, as well alpineaccess.com. I hope this helps!
  12. I also work from home, scheduling service calls for GE thru West at Home. Check out www.westathome.com to apply.
  13. So sorry for your loss. Sending hugs your way.
  14. Praying for peace. I also have this fear and have an upcoming flight myself this weekend.
  15. Go! You can always have a Christmas celebration with all your children before you go.
  16. If she advertised it to include the student pages, then I would surely request the pages or a refund. I'm sorry your dealing with this.
  17. From what I understand, it is a copyright violation to sell the student pages if buying used. I'm a member of their yahoo group and I believe that has been asked on the forum. You can actually purchase the student pages on the IEW website, where you can either have it printed, or download the PDF. I hope that helps!
  18. I would think anywhere between 7-10 business days. If you ordered a full week ago, I would imagine with the Labor Day holiday, there will be some delays.
  19. We usually get new homeschool shirts at the beginning of each school year. It's our tradition 😄. These are now on sale for $5.99. http://www.shopgreatproducts.com/new-trust-me-t-shirt/
