Thanks everyone for you support. Its soo hard to think about her growing up. But Im glad that it just kind of happened and I dealt with it. Now she has the book in her hands and I feel better knowing she has an idea of whats going to begin to happen. She also has 2 girl cousins that are 11 and 13. She very close with them. So they can all kind of go through it together. ;)

It was not that book, I actually think that must be the book that I bought several months back, because it had the tampon pages.. and I was holding that book trying to decide for the right time. The book she bought was different. I think its actually a great book. But the whole idea just crushed me! :sad: my little girl has to grow up.. Okay so my little baby is going to be 10 this month!! she is such a "young" 10 .. plays with dolls, not into boys at all! No clue about the whole "puberty" thing.. Anyway.. We went to some yard sales this morning and she bought a few books. In the books was a "girl" book. After browsing through it (while she was outside) , I realized it was all about "growing up" which Im sure she doesnt have a clue about. anyway.. She just grabbed the books and went in the other room to read them. I let her go.. and was thinking what do I say?? so I walked in and she quickly grab bed another book.. so I know she was reading it. anyway.. I said to her oh.. whats this book about and I thumbed through it. then I said.. oh this is a great book... (thinking that we have to address this topic at some point) she looked at me funny and said it is? She had a smirk.. like she was kind of embarrassed. So I said its all about the changes that your body goes through when you grow up.. like growing boobies.. ;) and I said.. that its nothing to be embarrassed about , that we all go through it! Then she asked if she should read it.. I said.,, if you feel comfortable and want to you can , or you can hold on to it and read it when you feel like your ready too. and she said okay.. I said when you do read it, then if you have any questions you can ask me. so she said okay.. looking slightly embarrassed.. but then I said.. okay,, so just keep it. and then I started looking at her other books. so it was okay I think. (she then said.. love you mom :D) I Hope I handled this okay.. Ive been thinking about for a while as she is getting older,, even though I dont like to admit it to myself. uggg.. :tongue_smilie:

Thank you~! your right! Im sure like everything else once its done a few times it becomes familiar and routine. I appreciate everyones help. I double checked the certified mail and the IHIP I sent was signed for on the 10th so they did receive it before deadline. So I think I will wait and see what happens next. I guess I will have a better idea of what they expect when I hear back about my IHIP. Thanks again everyone. :001_smile:

Yes, I sent the IHIP Certified. ( and I also noted on the outside that the IHIP was enclosed) So I think I will just wait and see what they say. Their forms for the quarterly reports seem kind of simple, it was just the hours that made me wonder. I was thinking of doing what you said just divide the required and put that if I use their form. Thanking me for my LOI & asking me to return the enclosed forms ( IHIP) . Hmm well I already sent my IHIP that I typed.. so should I just ignore their paper work and wait to hear back from them about the one I sent?? (Which they should of received before they even mailed me the letter I just received.) (THis is NY ) thanks. :D They also gave me forms to send the quarterly reports . Which ask for the hours? Do I really have to keep track o our hours for school???

Im always googling places I think Id like to move to. You can find a lot of info from the city's chamber of commerce. I havent made a permanant move yet.. Someday I hope when I get done with my degree and can hopefully get a decent career started. ;) Id choose the south west.. I love the warm! ;)

gross! :ack2: I actually have 2 labs and the black one does this. He actually hasnt done it lately that Ive seen, Because I take him out on a leash and watch him every second. Im hoping hes over it.. it totally grossed me out , when I caught him in the act.. Lab poop can be quite large.. :ack2: yuck.. I will be sure to ask my vet about it though when I take him next month for his check up. When we move into my new house I will be putting a fenced in yard, so he wont be as supervised.. ugghhh. Some one said, dont yell at them, just keep it cleaned up so that they cant do it. Uggg.. you know what that would be like.. a really bad second job!

I couldnt open the link either, But can I suggest you just give a fresh look to your old furniture. I have a resale shop and I refurbish a lot of old furniture, 1st its made much nicer and sturdy, not like the new stuff. You can sand it and paint it, many times you dont really even need to sand. Just get some spray paint. (our dollar store usually has great paint) Ive painted many pieces of furniture, tables, chairs, dressers etc. I sell a lot and Ive also been doing some for my house. Its fun and pretty simple. You can also cover chairs with new fabric after giving them a nice new coat of paint. ;) You can also buy covers for couches and loveseats and chairs at pretty reasonable prices. I bought a like new loveseat for my house but its kind of an ugly 80s blue , I plan on getting a solid white cover and then throwing some new colorful pillows for added splash of color!

We have the national baseball hall of fame, which has the classic game fathers day weekend and then the induction weekend usually the last weekend in July. Then they have built several big baseball & softball parks, that host about a hundred baseball teams per week from june to sept. so theres plenty of summer work here. Especially weekly rentals, or even cleaning for the rental people. i just started cleaning for my aunt who rents her 3 bedroom camp,they pay about $25 hr to clean. But all around theres plenty of work created from the whole "baseball" theme. Especially if someone really good is being inducted. Then its a really busy summer.

Im using Health & Safety Curriculum; Frank schaffer publications (listed on my IHIP ) It covers all the basic stuff. Im sure we will use other things as well but I know NY needs something.. and I also said that we would also cover on day to day activities and discussion.

I know its crazy right! I just had to get my grandmother a ticket from upstate NY back to tampa. I have not flown in a few years but it use to be around $60 -$100 for a one way ticket. It cost around $200 now. there were some that were slightly cheaper but leaving at 5 am.. and its a hour drive to the airport, so that wasnt happening! ;) Im sure its all due to the economy and people probably arent flying as much so they increase their costs. I Also noticed that it was difficult to find a direct flight from albany to tampa or orlando. There were only like one a day that was direct. They use to have tons of direct flights. Times are changing.. :tongue_smilie:

My last semeser at the 2 yr college im attending online is starting soon. Im taking biology (required) and I get a Bio -kit and a microscope!! Im lucky financial aid pays for it, the bio kit is just over $200 and the scope is around $100!! Im excited because we will be able to use for HS'ing ! She loves science!! It seems like christmas! Im anxiously awaiting the package!!! :D Im also taking art appreciation, short crime fiction and intro to computer graphics ( we are learning adobe photoshop & illustrator) I received those books yesterday~! woohoo! :D
