  1. This was much better than the mystery school bookstore item. We should do this everyday.
  2. Now I'm more confused instead of less.
  3. Ooops... I'll wait 10 more to guess.
  4. It seems to be music related, but I still have no idea.
  5. While I might feel old, but I'm apparently not quite that old. Just this weekend I looked at my husband while in Best Buy and said, "are we really that old?" The "young" man was explaining some new fangled computer interactive thingy. Why in the world would I want my Windows 8 computer to act as a GPS while I play Forza on my Xbox? At least I know what Windows 8, GPS, Forza, and Xbox are.
  6. Wishing you the best of luck. Sometimes when I need a little extra I flood Craigslist with lots of things and am super flexible about prices. Is that something that might work?
  7. My kids would eat muffins and quick breads all day long if I let them. What about yogurt, frozen fruit (my kids like to eat it frozen), pretzels. salami, sliced cheese, crackers, dried fruit, granola bars, protein bars. Maybe you could portion things in to snack bags so that it could be grab and go. I've never had a c-section, but I think I'd rather do it in one go instead of leaving a 6 week old baby. :grouphug:
  8. It seems mathematically impossible that they're not taking taxes from her tips. If they were only taking taxes from her wages, and her wages are $2.13/hr, she would be paying a very small percentage in taxes. If she work ten hours, earning $21.30, even 20 percent in taxes would leave her with $17.04. Has she asked for a pay stub? She should receive one after every pay period. That would tell her the exact amount she is paying taxes on. ETA: It will also be stated on her W-2 that she should receive by January 31st.
  9. For my oldest sons fifth birthday we collected stuffed animals and donated them to the fire department. His birthday and another preschool classmates were very close and we had a joint party. We didn't want people to have to bring two gifts, so we asked for donations. It was something that we asked the kids about first. They were definitely more than compensated for it within our own families. The highlight of their party turned out to be when we took the donations to the fire department. It was a Sunday afternoon, and the firefighters gave the kids a personal tour of the fire department. It was definitely a great experience.
  10. That is just what I needed to hear. It was a mistake, but also the truth. I'm going to stand by the truth in what I said, and move forward. I'm not going to back down, because what is happening is wrong. The current board is endangering the investments of 28 homes by burying there head in the sand and being dishonest. What have they done wrong, and why can't they be honest? If they were transparent in their actions we would help to fix it. This board has been exactly what I needed today. Mistakes happen, I've made amends the best I can, and now I'm going to do what is right. If we shadows have offended, Think but this, and all is mended, That you have but slumber'd here While these visions did appear. And this weak and idle theme, No more yielding but a dream, Gentles, do not reprehend: if you pardon, we will mend: And, as I am an honest Puck, If we have unearned luck Now to 'scape the serpent's tongue, We will make amends ere long; Else the Puck a liar call; So, good night unto you all. Give me your hands, if we be friends, And Robin shall restore amends.
  11. It could appear as though I was trying to stir up trouble, but my intent was to inform the other neighbor about the current state of the board. The president is my next door neighbor and already doesn't like me very much.
  12. The rather ironic thing is that I've been a member of this board for a long time, and I often don't respond to posts that I would like too. I'm always worried that I will come off sounding overly opinionated or know it all-ish.
  13. I was already having a rough morning. I'm just beside myself right now.
  14. We live in a community with a HOA. We are having significant problems with the board and dishonesty. It's possible that we may have to vote the board out. I accidentally cc'd the board in an email that I sent to someone else. I'm absolutely horrified, and embarrassed to show my face at the meeting that is taking place tomorrow. Nothing in the email was untrue, and the board should be aware of it, but it was in an appropriate tone to send to them. I've already sent an apology to both people, and a separate private email to the board president apologizing again. I offered to meet before the meeting to ensure transparency on my part as well as hers. I just feel sick, what do I do now?
  15. You can definitely get an electronic Amazon gift certificate.
  16. :iagree: I think it's any baby under six weeks. That would be an ER trip.
  17. Why not teach her how to swallow a pill? There's lots of ideas online about how to learn.
  18. If it's any help, I know an excellent neuro-ophthalmologist in Seattle. He's difficult to get into, but works hard to squeeze in patients with urgent matters.
  19. The pumpkin shouldn't be bothering his stomach, but the grass probably is. It's very hard to digest and will often make them vomit. I would look in to purchasing a grain free food. It does not have to be a puppy food. There are many foods now that are designed for all life stages. I love Costco and shop there weekly, but would not buy dog food there. One of their main distributors doesn't have the best reputation as far as dog food is concerned.
  20. His may not, but what about yours? They should help you deal with the other company.
