  1. Do your research about the Costco food, it's similar but not the same as Taste of the Wild. My understanding is that the protein quality is lacking.
  2. I'm curious what you mean about the testing. I'll admit, I'm behind on testing and we didn't test at all last year. Part of me feels like I'm breaking the rules, the other part of me says that nobody sees it anyways. Could you elaborate?
  3. Generally in flooring it's called a transition, but it could also be a threshold. (sp?)
  4. The first thing I would do is take the storage boxes out of the closet. If it's not in use put it in storage (garage) or get rid of it. The next thing I would do is put the dresser in the closet. That will free up some wall space. The third thing I would do is get rid of the toy box and find something with better storage. The box mostly takes up wall space and doesn't provide you with a lot of storage. From there you should have plenty of space to add books shelves and toy storage to the room. I do like an Expedit for that because it will store books and toys. The fabric bins from target fit perfectly for toy storage.
  5. ITA - I'll defintely be recommending them to other people.
  6. The company is Art of Problem Solving. The books are great. Lucky for me the service was stellar. I'll definitely order from them again.
  7. We can't stand are dark finished engineered hard wood floors. They dent just by looking at them and you can see every dog hair and crumb. They are a smooth finish. My inlaws just installed a beautiful hand scraped engineered hardwood and it looks beautiful. I was so surprised because I never like anything that MIL picks out. I think it will hold up much better than ours. We also have an inexpensive laminate floor upstairs. It was what was in the budget at the time, and it's better than carpet, but I hate that you can sometimes see the seems. You also can't have any moisture on it.
  8. You're so right. They really put a smile on my face today. The books, by the way are beautiful and well done.
  9. This is their response. I'm incredibly impressed, and now think my self more than sufficiently insane. Our neighbor is a third grade teacher and these will be headed her way. Greetings, I apologize your books were damaged in transit. I will ship replacements tomorrow afternoon via priority mail. Please donate the damaged books to a favorite math teacher, your local library, or fellow math beast. Thank you ****** ETA - I'm aware I probably gave away the company. That responsive was so impressive that they deserve a pat on the back in my opinion. The response time was less than an hour. I suppose I'll have to forgive them for not having a phone number.
  10. I'm sure they will too. It does really bother me that they don't have a phone number. Sometimes things like this set my anxiety level on high. I'm sure that makes me sound like a nutcase, but I try to avoid unresolved issues. I also sometimes wonder if I'm the only person who is that particular about things. I don't even like to buy cereal boxes with dents in them.
  11. These are just released brand new books from the publisher.
  12. A much anticipated order just arrived damaged. The right corner of each book is bent and damaged. If I were in a brick and mortar store I would not buy the books. I've had this happen before with Amazon and they always replace the books. This company doesn't have a phone number only email. I did send them an email along with a picture of the damage. I'm now anxiously awaiting a response. (I find it ridiculous that there is no phone number.) So, WWYD, settle for the damaged item or be irritated that you now have to spend time resolving the issue? Is it reasonable to expect books to arrive in NEW condition when mailed? I paid $9 for priority shipping. I'll reserve naming the specific company until they have had a fair chance to respond. I'm not a very patient person, and I would have preferred to call and handle this right away.
  13. My BMI is under 30. I was able to lose about 50 pounds about a year and a half ago, but have only managed to keep 30 off. I would really like to be able to conceive at the 50 pound mark rather than the 30 because I have always gained a lot of weight. I love you microwave picture. Good Luck!
  14. I stand corrected. I forgot to take into account that Singapore was only 4 books, not 8. I do usually buy the HIG, which makes the cost more comparable.
  15. Are you currently trying to conceive? I have previously taken Topomax and was under the impression that it was not safe to take during pregnancy. We would really like to start TTC, but I would also like to restart the Topomax. It's hard to control my weight without it. I need to keep my weight down due to another health problem.
  16. If you're comparing to MM it's pretty pricey. If you compare to SM it's only .50 cents more. IMO the product that you will receive is much more comparable to SM than MM. That isn't even include what you would spend on a program like TT or Right Start. ETA: All that to say, that I think the price is more than fair for a product that appears to have had a lot of work put into it. The artist alone had to have cost a fortune.
  17. One week is bad enough, I can't imagine three. I think the cough is getting worse.
  18. I've had a cold since last Sunday. It started with sinus pressure and ear pain. I know it's not an ear infection, the ear pain is from the fluid build up. It then changed to a stuffy nose and regular cold type symptoms. Today is day five, and I have an inordinate amount of mucus. Things seems to have changed from clear to more yellowish. My sinuses are tender but not painful. I also have a cough, but I think that's from all the yuck dripping down the back of my throat. I really need to be better by Sunday, but I know going to the doctor will only help if it's more than a cold. What do you think? Cold or infection.
  19. What level can we start Growing with Grammar at? I want to order today. My 6th grader has been working on Analytical Grammar, the level is fine, but it doesn't seem to be the best fit. He doesn't have a lot of other grammar experience, but AG definitely wasn't too difficult. Will Level 6 work or do I need to back it up? P.S. I asked this question here, because I thought I would get a quicker answer.
  20. Adorable! He looks an awful lot like a German Wirehair to me.
  21. You may want to consider purchasing a prepaid calling card. It's been a long time since I made an international call, but I remember it being significantly less expensive this way. You will have to dial quite a few more numbers though. Glad you were able to speak to your daughter. ETA: It looks like calling cards might be as little as .01 a minute.
  22. We did go to the vet. The did an ultrasound and are sending out a UA. She also gave him some broad spectrum antibiotics. It wasn't as expensive as I thought it would be, although I have other things I'd rather do with $150. There weren't any bladder or kidney stones. It's most likely a UTI.
  23. OUCH! I suspect my husband will defer to me on the cost, but it's hard to use your head when your heart is involved.
