  1. I haven't had those. I do love the dill pickle sunflower seeds.
  2. Well, after reading this whole thread I've decided that I'm very thankful that my family and friends are easy people to get along with.
  3. I was rarely excluded from a conversation when I was growing up. I'm 45 and my parents were born in 1931, having kids around for conversations is not a new thing. I treat my children the same way. If dh and I want to have an adult conversation we go to our room or do it while the kids are sleeping or in another part of the house.
  4. I think you should try one of those shorter cuts. That first picture is pretty safe, my hair was about that length a couple month ago and I could get it back in a clip if I needed to. That first one is pretty safe. If the long bangs bother you sometimes you can twist them back and pin with a bobby pin. I'll try to find some pictures.
  5. Ok, I always feel lost when people change their name and avatar.
  6. Well, people can budget their student loan (and any other income) in different ways. One person might live by themselves or in a more expensive apartment, buy pricier groceries, or eat out more and you would see that as living expenses. My dh lived in fraternity house (cheaper than the dorms) and then when he moved out of there he had several roomates in apartments that were the cheapest they could find and was super frugal when buying food. By being cheap in those ways he managed to go on spring break (road trip with a bunch of guys and they all stuffed into a hotel room) and one semester he bought my engagement ring. ETA - we have no regrets about our loans. We still lived very frugally in college (and after) and paid our loans off in about 7 years (before we started trying to have a baby).
  7. We (dh and I) did. Once we deposited our student loan checks it just went in with any other money we had from our parents and jobs. We definitely took out more money in loans than just to cover tuition.
  8. I've had a couple, mine were just like having a regular filling they just take a lot longer and there's more numbing. The jaw will be sore for a few days because the mouth is open for a long time. I don't believe any of stuff about them being harmful. Is this an adult tooth?
  9. My dd had a couple of these that she liked. Maidenform Girl Big Girls' Slim Seamfree Ruched Crop, Nude, Medium https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00QKGB4EY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_K-AxzbWYJDWJR She also has a couple from Justice. I will see if I can find them on their website. Now she's ready for a real bra and I think that's going to be a much bigger problem. We went to Macy's one day and the bra lady blew us off and told us we should go look in the little girls department because it was cheaper. 🙄
  10. I've flown 16 times in the last year and we're flying again next week. It's not my favorite thing just because of the hassle of the airport, mostly just getting to the airport (LAX). Find a great show on Netflix that you can download to your phone or iPad. That's a great way to spend a flight and the time in the airport.
  11. Ha! I saw it was from January but I didn't look at the year. 🤣
  12. I have fiestaware now but I've had other brands of stoneware before (pfatlzgtaff, pottery barn, and crate and barrel) they all got the gray marks from stainless utensils. Seems to be part of having stoneware. I've never considered putting in the effort to clean the marks off.
  13. I've never seen that blog before but, yuck. I agree with whoever the other poster is here who thinks it's tasteless.
  14. Maybe if you find something for yourself on Etsy you can ask the seller if they can make something that is more simple but complimentary for your DH.
  15. Did you tell him they were painful and you wanted them removed?
  16. Almost all of our rain is in the winter, I think that's why lightning is rare.
  17. But the idea that predators are everywhere and just waiting to snatch children is extreme.
  18. I have doubts about actual dangers but the resale issues would prevent me from buying a house near larger power lines.
  19. My BIL had a rescue JR. She was most definitely a piece of work. When she was about a year old, she jumped out of his car window (to chase a bike) while he was turning a corner and he ran her over. She broke her hip, had some surgery and she was fine except it made her lazy and eventually very, very fat (well, I also believe BIL overfeeds his dogs). She was sooooo mean to other dogs. She had to be in charge all the time, always bossing everyone (people and dogs) around.
  20. I've never encountered it outside of a big city and even in L.A. I've only seen it a couple times.
