I have http://www.amazon.com/1001-Ways-Introduce-Child-Bible/dp/080543836X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1307146752&sr=8-1 1001 Ways to Introduce Your Child to the Bible and plan to use it are our Bible Curr for this fall (kindy) -- there is a chapeter for each book of the P Bible; a main point, a little history, a famous person or 2 and some activities -- I am going to take my 2 (almost 6 and 4 in the fall) from the start to the end, a book a week, I also have http://www.amazon.com/1001-Ways-Introduce-Your-Child/dp/0842347577/ref=pd_sim_b_1 1001 Ways to Introduce Your Child to God for additional activities -- to keep the center on God and the Bible as His gift to us and tool. i need to look at the links suggested here, too, THANKS

when did you start sotw 1 -- in kindy or first? thoughts?

i just re-read it for me (my boys still don't toally sit for stuff that has no images to look at) and i loved it -- I think it would be fine for a 7 yo litttle boy - i think it would be fine for my 5 yo IF he'd sit for it. :D

some one posted Recipe for Reading -- and it looks like it might be good for phonics and copyvork -- any one know where to get it new? Amazon only has it by 3rd party sellers -- anyone useing RforR and can tell me where they got it?

ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! part time, i do NOT cover if Dh is with us (or me) as HE feels he is cover enough for me, and also he has mixed feeling about the fact that covering for modesy actually attracting attention. I cover most of the time with just the boys or alone, i am better parent covered -- that is for sure i need to come back and read more..

I see uneducated parents that did not look up the correct spelling for the name, may not be TRUE -- buttttttttttt still the impression it gives ME. Our kids are tagged by their names the rest of their lives, and some parents do a grave dis-service to their offsrping

I am reight there too -- I am so sick and tried of it all -- I feel like i am constantly under attack as i take my boys out (to family and or kid places -- doctor offices, target, the park) .... i long for teh 1800 when a knee was never seen!!!!

thanks everyone. He knows all his letters (that is can name them, match them, read them to you) just can't recite them in order. (also know all basic sounds) we are really working on the counting to 100 thing.
