  1. Through HSBC it is US$80 a year. If it is the ability to move up and down the levels as needed that you want, consider using the free typing.com. If you don't login and track your progress, you can do any lesson, any time, as many times as you need.

  5. On Writing Well is a classic and an easy read. I can't find the thread on writing books that Hilltop Academy had started. If I find it, I will post the link here. Here are other threads, though: Resources that made you a better writing teacher? Writing w/o a curriculum has lots of links, including writing books. Good writing has more book and curriculum suggestions.
  6. Recipe for Reading is a workbook style OG program.
  7. Yes, it is my one beauty indulgence, and my almost 11 yo loves polish, too. I paint my toe nails in bolder colours (maroon, dark blue, purple) and my fingernails in nudes, pinks, or pale frosted colours. But sometimes, I paint my ring fingers in a contrasting shade for accent. I can't do nail art well enough. For my dd, I do polka dots, or put some glitter on her nails. And once I block-painted the Ravenclaw colours on her nails. I use OPI polish because I love the wide brush. CND is also a good brand. Tell your dd to sign up on pinterest. There are a ton of ideas, step-by-step with photos.

  9. Most companies do, but PC claims to be different from most skin care companies. This is not ethical of them.
  10. I didn't read this whole thread and I just skimmed the article, so this has probably been said before - I am not aware of any such belief or rule in Hinduism that prohibits a person from wearing an FM transmitter or headset. If there was such a rule, there would not be thousands of Hindu people manning call centers and IT helpdesks all over the world. Hinduism does not have a "book of rules"; it is pretty much an open source religion, and people have varying traditions and practices which they may sincerely believe is due to their religion, but may just be something they do because their mother and grandmother did before them. If Prof Panjabi cites her Hindu beliefs, it is probably something very specific to her family. It is wrong to equate her to Kim Davis.
  11. If you enjoy Into Thin Air, you can then get the other point-of-view from The Climb by Anatoly Boukreev. And then go see the new film, Everest, which is based on the same incident.
