  1. I had twins twenty months after my first-born, so even though my church had already thrown me a shower, they decided to have a diaper shower for me. I think I got enough diapers to last us six months. It was great!
  2. I was thinking something totally different. I was thinking that if there were a module in each of the books about the same subject you would combine them together into one module. Maybe they don't line up nicely like that though. For example, if there was a module in each book about the atomic model, they could somehow be combined. Going through the first book in half a year, and then doing the advanced book might be a better way to go about it.
  3. Was it difficult to match the modules up between the two books? Do you have a schedule that you are willing to share?
  4. I watch Survivor and The Amazing Race. I have seem a few episodes of the others, but they don't interest me as much.
  5. My oldest is doing year 4 right now as a 9th grader. He started the rhetoric level half way through 8th grade. We've been using it for three years now, so I'm fairly certain we will use it all the way through with all three boys.
  6. Me too! I think our high is supposed to be 56 for the next two days.
  7. We are using year 4 with one rhetoric student and two dialectic students. We have used years 2&3 also.
  8. Please let us know how it all turned out for your daughter. I hope she is not blamed for what this other girl did!
  9. My three boys go to band every day at the ps. At first it was a hard adjustment, but it just became part of our schedule. Music is one thing I can't teach them well. My oldest son is musically talented, and his teacher has told him he could get good scholarships if he keeps up as well as he has so far. We'll see what the future brings as far as music goes, but it has been a worth while sacrifice for us so far.
  10. Mine is red on the outside and grey on the inside. So far red is better than blue for showing dirt. I haven't had in over winter yet which will be the true test both inside and out. I have leather seats, but didn't mind the cloth in my last vehicle. I wasn't looking for leather. It just worked out that way.
  11. My dh bought one from B&N this morning online. There might sill be some out there!
  12. Thank you! That was the problem. I knew I must have bumped something or accidentally clicked on something. I could hardly read anything.
  13. Is anyone else having trouble viewing the forum? Everything is in tiny print. If it's just me, how do I fix it? No other websites are doing this. Sorry if this isn't well-typed. I can hardly see anything.
  14. How about buying some address labels, and either you or your son could type them up.
  15. Thanks for sharing in my excitement! Now I need ideas on how to use it. I plan to label workbooks, binders and containers that hold some of our books. What are some creative ways to use my new toy?:bigear:
  16. This morning I went to Staples to get my teacher goodie bag for teacher appreciation day. I got there right at 9:00 to be sure that I would get one. I was excited to see what was in there. It was full of pens, erasers, hi-liters, post-it notes, etc. Then I saw the coupons. There was one of there for $25 off of a label maker. I knew from looking at the ads that this particular one was on sale for $30. So I rushed over to the aisle with the label makers, and got the last one! I was so excited about getting it for $5. My dh is glad that I got such a good deal, but he doesn't quite get my enthusiasm for the label maker itself. I'm sure you can all appreciate my happiness!:D
  17. I used to iron when my kids were in ps, but since I started to hs them it is pretty rare. My dh doesn't care too much, but when his shirt collars start getting all wonky he does. So for father's day he asked for a steamer, but don't feel too bad for him because he also got a power washer and a leaf blower. The steamer is quick and easy, and takes out most of the wrinkles.
  18. 1. I am 33. 2. I got pregnant in February of my senior year of high school, graduated in June, got married in July, and had oldest ds in November. That was a busy year. My poor parents.:tongue_smilie: 3. I had twins boys 20 months later, so I was done having kids by 20. 4. Dh and I have been married for 15 years! 5. My first job was working in a restaurant. They started having kid day every Tuesday, and I was the only one small enough to fit into the mascot costume. I was Bo the Bonanza Bull. Dh, who was only my boyfriend then, came to eat almost every Tuesday.:glare: 6. My third great-grandmother, along with two of her children, were captured and later released by the Sioux Indians during the Dakota Conflict of 1862. She wrote a book about it, and I'm just now reading it. 7. My favorite place to be, other than home, is Playa del Carmen, Mexico. 8. Volleyball is my favorite sport. 9. I am a MN Twins fan even when they aren't doing too hot. 10. Jane Austen is my favorite author.
  19. I have been able to sell all of my stuff fairly quickly. I usually sell for half price plus shipping. Maybe you need to lower prices?
  20. Ours in Hanson Five Academy, but my boys don't like it. I have told them to give me some better suggestions, but they never do. The name stays for now!
  21. The creators of the Well Planned Day are working on making other forms available to those who have purchased their planners. They are looking for suggestions, so maybe you could let them know specifically what kinds of forms you would like. http://www.wellplannedday.com/freeformsubmission.php
  22. I'm not sure about that. We print color pages fairly often, so I'm not much help. I would guess that it doesn't dry up like the ink because the toner is a powder instead of liquid. That's just a guess though.
