  1. Does Bologna taste like Hotdogs? If so, then "Weiner Bean Pot" would be good. Beans, Mustard, Brown Sugar and Chunks of Bologna seems like it's the same type of taste.. (oh... and sauteed onions) ;)
  2. http://www.azurestandard.com/ You can join and get a better deal :)
  3. Oh how great!! Maybe we can do this at our co-op. I would have begged to be in, if I had known about it. :) Hope it turns out great!!! ;)
  4. Wow! Lots of changes... sorry for you... your kids... and your husband. Sorry about the loss of your G-ma and for your sweet dog, too. :(
  5. Since I've had friends come and go... I'd name what I wanted... with a "hope you don't mind, but it's really a name I've loved forever... we'll be calling her Eva..."... As far as Sadie, I'd do Sarah with Sadie as a nickname... since it is :)
  6. Evangeline, Eva pronounced "Ay-va", for short.... Evangeline Grace :)
  7. Here I see the babies get sent to headstart.... while the mom goes to school or back to work. :(
  8. I had this same problem! I feel for him; my name actually has two "r's"... Carrie... and came out more like "Cawwie" bummer for me :) One thing that I had to do was do a certain number of times... "R"... "R" ... etc... I had speech in maybe 4th grade?? I loved it!! :)
  9. I'd go with one or another, and save the "other" for another child. I like Caron, fine, but with my daughter's name... you just have to realize that she may very well hate the fact that she has to "re-spell" her name each time someone asks... Caron is fine... Cari can be short.... :) Course... I like Cari... cuz it's kinda like mine :)
  10. Thanks for this thought :) My friend actually has a business degree, and I ran a Classical Conversations group for 3 years, so along with the bumps and bruises I learned :) I also worked retail for a long time.... Course... we're doing this all for free... so it's hopefully an easier "sell" :) You're right... the organizational and interpersonal skills are for sure needed!!;)
  11. This is so helpful for me :) I am co-running a co-op and we're trying SOOOO hard to have an academic, well organized, pleasant loving co-op. Small order, eh?? :) We are using SOTW I-IV for our history... and doing the projects and such.... We have God's Design for Science, Artistic Pursuits for Art. I have only done 2 wks of History but am liking to teach... it's so well laid out, that it's perfect for co-op. I think that it works well for just about anyone to teach :) Anyway, organizing the co-op has been a bit difficult... getting all the teachers swapped out to the next spot they're suppose to be in.... I'm really excited to hear tips! ;)
  12. if you wanna do the k, you can do it in pill.. smushed with breast milk or whatever... given... and the ointment... if there's a problem... there's still time ;)
  13. Incredible!!!! So happy for you! Sometimes, things just feeling like they've "turned a bit your way!" Happy that's the case tonight! :)
  14. I would love, love, love!! to have websites or info about all the co-ops people love!! We have our co-op.. which has met twice so far.. and we love it so far. Our only "down" is we need a couple more people to make "changing of the guards" (ie teachers) smoother.
  15. Maybe he's getting Alzheimers; I can't imagine that is a popular opinion. It's surely not for my family... parents... and community!! I'm sure glad my mom and dad stuck together... even though my mom got cancer!! That's not "fun" either!
  16. I know someone who says, "shut your pie-hole" and it freaks me out! I HATE it, I tried to look up what it "means"... it's such a cultural thing, as to what's ok to say. I think that "Quiet Mouths, Listening Ears" would have been nicer, but..... so would listening when the teacher is speaking.
  17. Ewwwww... sorry! :( IF he never forgets who he's married to, you can forgive him, right?? :) Especially if you remind him that when you go out, you'd like to go to.... "a really nice spot".... I'm going to the Melting Pot! I'm gonna remind him!! Since my 40th BD wasn't exciting.... I'm going to make sure that I remember for him. Poor guys, I really don't think they have a chance at remembering the important times!! Something, perhaps "guyness" is against them! Happy Marriage!!!!! And hopefully he'll make up the anniversary flubber! HUGS! :)
  18. Yum!! This reminds me of the Pineapple Upside Down Cake my mom use to make in a skillet! But, of course, ours has rings of pineapple on the bottom with a candied cherry :) I can't try it right now, as I'm trying not to do sugar... :(
  19. They are good for the same amt of time. I did a search for inexpensive contacts online, then called for a "price match" to 1-800-CONTACTS. Great company... at the great price!!! BTW, if you have sensitive eyes, or any allergies... the disposable contacts are the way to go. About the same price when you consider... contact solution... and every once in a while they tear... or are caught on the seam of the container... Etc... Anyway, I love my dailies!! ;)
