  2. We had to pay this year and haven't received our check yet either. We;ll be trying this today.
  3. I totally agree about the need for structure. Our days go much better with it,
  4. I have gotten in such a rut of not wearing makeup or putting on nice clothes. Today I actually did both, and call me vain, but I feel so much happier when I pass a mirror. When I had cancer, there was a program called Look Good Feel Better, where they gave us really nice makeup and taught us to put it on. It really did make a difference, for me at least.😀
  5. Realized that I have some potatoes that need to be used before they go bad. Making potato soup for dh. Keeping busy in the kitchen this morning.😀
  6. Happy Birthday, DawnM!! ~saute large batch of mushroom, and freeze in portions ~bread and fry eggplant ~help ds clean hamster cage ~make banana bread. I was planning on making it a few days ago but we lost power from crazy winds. We at least the bananas are even riper and sweeter now ~go for a walk
  7. I'm doing fine with it, but I do wish parks would open up again soon for walking. I'm an introvert and don't mind not interacting with people but I do love being out in nature. I've ben doing a lot of baking and trying different recipes, which makes dh happy. Also been doing some spring cleaning. Ds is used to being at school all day and being kept busy with that, so he's been a bit frustrated with all this. I know he misses his friends. His school is on spring break this week, so he doesn't even have that to keep him busy.
  8. Good advice! Just the other day I received a bill for dental work that ds had done a few months ago. I thought it was strange since I've never had to pay anything other than a $5 co-pay for when he's had fillings done. So I called and they said it was a mistake and to ignore the bill. I'm glad I called since I don't really have much extra money these days.
  9. Good morning! ~laundry ~make bread ~make butternut squash soup ~clean bathrooms ~go for a walk ~set aside time for quiet reading with ds ~put together smoothie ingredients

  14. (((Happymomof1))) Try to remember that worrying isn't going to change anything and definitely won't make your life any better. Have faith that things will work out. You and your dd's lives likely won't look like what you had planned for but who knows - things may be better than what you planned. And if not, you will get through. Having been through some tough times in my life, I've learned that things might be hard but life will still go on and be okay.
  15. Oh wow - did you write that poem? Thank you for sharing.
  16. Good morning everyone! ~laundry ~hard boil eggs so ds and I can dye them ~put together ingredients for smoothies ~make french toast from bread that's going stale ~exercise either on rebounder or a walk outside depending on the weather. I went for a walk outside yesterday. It started out nice and sunny, then dark clouds rolled in, a strong wind and rain. I got a good workout by running the last 4 blocks. ~dinner - leftovers
  17. Thanks! I'll be watching. I've been wanting to go to Sight and Sound theater but haven't made it there yet.
  18. Good morning! ~laundry ~get ds going on school work ~clean bathrooms ~vacuum ~banking/budget ~jog on rebounder 20 minutes while watching Chef AJ cooking videos on youtube - exercise + inspiration at the same time ~dinner - pasta with marinara and roasted broccoli
  19. ~laundry ~get ds going with schoolwork ~prepare smoothie ingredients ~refill bird seed and bird bath ~maybe go grocery shopping. 22. Yes to this. In addition to longer nails getting germs trapped under them, I've noticed that when my nails get to a certain length I'm more prone to nibbling on them. Yuck. I think I'll also not be so likely to let my groceries/household items get to the point where I really have to go shopping or else we won't have anything to eat.
  23. ~menu plan/ make grocery list ~go for a walk ~yardwork ~watch my pastor's online sermon ~make brown rice pudding ~dinner - chipotle hummus quesadillas ~maybe take a bike ride with ds. It's a beautiful day out today so I want t get out as much as I can
  24. I've been reading the NLT version of the Bible, and wow- I love it! I've previously only read NKJV, which of course, is wonderful too, but the NLT version reads like a story that is coming alive for me. I'm also reading Becoming Odyssa by Jennifer Pharr Davis, about her hiking the Appalachian Trail. Pretty inspiring.
