  1. That's a great idea. I'm pretty well stocked on things like grains and beans, but I don't want to have to run to the store to pick up fruits and veggies these days.
  2. I hear you on needing to eat a lot of produce. I get mine delivered through misfits market. Maybe they deliver to your area. Even with my deliveries, I find I still run a little low lately. So I try to have a lot of frozen fruits and veggies also.
  3. I think I need to post here. Having dh and ds at home all the time has really gotten me off of my normal schedule. ~put together ingredients for smoothies ~clean bathrooms ~help ds clean hamster cage ~go for a walk ~laundry ~dinner - spicy sesame noodles with teriyaki tofu
  4. I'm the opposite, but I really feel for those of you who thrive on social interaction. It must be really hard right now.🙁
  5. We've had a mockingbird hanging around here every night at 8 o'clock. I love listening to him. We've also had lots of cardinals, blue jays and robins. I'm looking forward to the goldfinches coming back soon.
  6. This is me. As an introvert, I'm finding it rather relaxing. And I avoid Zoom meetings as much as possible. They're anxiety producing for me.
  7. I made a batch of carrot mini muffins and a batch of mini chocolate chip muffins, so dh and ds have been eating those. I also made a batch of fig bars a few days ago that dh finished. Can you tell I like to bake when I'm bored? lol I've been trying to keep to grapes and cuties for myself.
  8. That looks like an artisan loaf that I'd buy at a bakery. I hope it's delicious!
  9. Looks like it came out great. You're very daring!
  10. I've been watching old 80's sitcoms. Different Strokes, The Facts of Life, Gimmie a Break, and Family Ties are my favorites.
  11. Inspiring! I love to bake but have never ground my own wheat. Have fun!
  12. I got a Vitamix off Amazon on Black Friday for $250. I previously had an Oster that did okay with my smoothies but the Vitamix is definitely more powerful and my smoothies are smooth. I also make cashew cream in it which I definitely couldn't get smooth in the Oster.
  13. I haven't read all of the responses but I make a lot of "bowls". I make big batches of grains, beans and have lots of cut veggies and greens. You can top with sauerkraut, avocado, lemon, whatever you like.
  14. Ugh, this sounds so similar to what I've gone through with one of my ds's the past couple years. It's really heartbreaking to see the choices he has made. We've done counseling, had some ups but many more downs. He's a few years older now and a legal adult and we finally told him he needed to leave. I pray everyday that he will understand that we love him and just want him to make good choices.
  15. About half of what I eat is fresh fruit and veggies, so yes, I'm still buying them. It seems like maybe a lot of people aren't though, because in the stores I've been in, there has been plenty of fresh produce when things like cans, bagged snacks, and pasta are sold out.
  16. How disappointing! I'm so sorry. My dh is self employed and his business has dried up for now. Like you, we have some money saved but it still stinks.
  17. My 5th grader has work everyday on google classroom. For having to work so quickly, I think the teachers did a good job with it. We're also doing plenty of silent reading, read alouds and online learning websites.
  18. That's frustrating. I went to a doctors appointment yesterday and another one today. I did just get a notice from my dentist that they are cancelling appointments for the next month though.
  19. We're a small church but services were cancelled for this week. I was considering not going anyway.
