PiCO
I remember and miss them from Texas. They also seemed to have more daylight hours. The skies are grey here in NY. That combined with a snowier (and colder) season then usual is making this quite a long winter. Only 3 more months to go before I may see some grass in our yard. That's why I love Colorado. The Governess
California. =) It's about 60 degrees out right now, a light breeze, and only a few wispy white clouds in sight.
chai
That's why I love Colorado. :iagree: The sun is always shining here! It's so uplifting!
Rose in BC
And I'm finding as I get older I respond poorly to the long winters. I am desperate for the longer days of spring and the very long days of summer. It happens that I also live in an area where we have a lot day light in the summer . . it's just the summer is so short!!
Denise in IN
186 cloudy days a year here. Today is one of them. Is there another color for winter skies??!!

Jane in NC
The line here in NC is that "God must be a Tar Heel--why else are the skies Carolina Blue?" From the normally sunny state of NC (gray the last few days), Jane
Mom2boys
When I lived in Albuquerque, the sun shone every single day. But now I'm in Ohio and the winters are nothing but gray, gray, gray. :D
Suzanne in ABQ
New Mexico gets 350 sunny days per year. The air is so clear you can see 100 miles, easily (if you get high enough).
Mommyof4ks
Wow, 186 days of gray skys!! I feel icky after 3 days of dark skies. :001_huh: OP, we love Tx too, but if it is any consolation it has been dark and drizzly for the last two days with highs in the 40s. We won't talk about the 80 degree temps last week with full sunshine. :001_smile:

Just found this neat site: http://www.weathertoday.net/weatherfacts.htm But, please do chime in, how are the skies where you are? When I saw the title of your post, my first thought was "Not here in NY!" ... and then I saw that you're here too. Sorry.... I grew up here, but we lived in Colorado for 3 years. It's beautiful there! :grouphug: Spring is coming.
