Amazon is creeping me out

I went on to order my youngest kid some more underwear, and it kept repeatedly changing the size to the size underwear I buy for myself.  (Which, I have only bought myself underwear on amazon once, several years ago).  It finally sent me a passive aggressive message saying, "Most people who wear the size clothing you wear wear size x in Hanes briefs."

Seriously creepy.  Stay out of my drawers, amazon!  (Also, I don't do much clothes buying via amazon.)

Amazon has been suggesting that I buy these extremely realistic, gory Halloween props--disembodied eyeballs and severed hands for example.  I have absolutely no idea where it is getting its information from, but now that I've clicked on some of the suggestions, I'm getting even more!

I keep getting these messages about sizes, too.  I mean, what would my size have to do with me buying two men's coats in different sizes.  Make the leap, Amazon, I'm buying for someone else 🤣. Also, they probably realize I am a middle-aged woman based on my history.    My size is probably not relevant to the basketball leg sleeve with pad that I'm trying to purchase for my teenage son!

So passive aggressive!  It did the same thing once when I was buying a medium for my daughter when I wear XL.  Amazon was really concerned that I was trying to fit my XL self into a M.  It was like, "Do you really think that's a good idea??" 🤣

I had a little personal crisis when Amazon flagged me for putting a larger size than I normally wear into my cart. I don't know how strict their privacy policy is, so I just resorted to whispering, "um, Amazon, I think I may have put on some weight, please just let me get the larger size without comment, ok?" It worked, I ordered, and wouldn't you know, they were too large! I couldn't admit that Amazon was right so I kept them.
