Joker Posted November 26, 2020 Posted November 26, 2020 We usually drink almond milk and only use regular milk for cooking here and there, but I just realized I didn’t get any in my grocery pick up this week. 🙄 Will using almond milk work? I just do a basic flour, butter, milk, and cheese recipe. Will it change it too much and do I need to any extra flour or anything? Quote
MEmama Posted November 26, 2020 Posted November 26, 2020 Yes, you can. It doesn’t make any difference in any cooking or baking IME. 2 Quote
Jean in Newcastle Posted November 26, 2020 Posted November 26, 2020 Yes. I use it to make sauces. 1 Quote
cintinative Posted November 26, 2020 Posted November 26, 2020 Do you have evaporated milk? I would use that if you do. Quote
Selkie Posted November 26, 2020 Posted November 26, 2020 Almond milk should be fine. Cashew milk or cashew cream would also work well. 1 Quote
Tanaqui Posted November 26, 2020 Posted November 26, 2020 Almond milk works assuming you do not accidentally put in the vanilla flavored type. Ask me how I know.... 3 1 Quote
Joker Posted November 26, 2020 Author Posted November 26, 2020 Thanks, everyone. I made it as I normally do but with the almond milk and it tasted the same. Quote

I was about to comment: just don't use vanilla soy milk in the mashed potatoes like I did one year! 2 Quote
