Good morning!

Happy Halloween! 🎃❄️ We're in the midst of a Halloween snowstorm. Nothing much on the agenda today, just getting the usuals done and staying warm.

  • office work - get the mess on my desk sorted out, file & shred
  • mail one quarterly tax form
  • vacuum
  • shovel out the snow that got in under a hayshed door
  • water plants
  • laundry - wash chore gear and put away lighter jackets
  • dinner: ??

Good morning! Very Cold and raining here. Yuck! Wish I didn't need to be out in it later today!

School - punting regular history to focus on Martin Luther since today is Reformation Day.
Luncheon at church
Switch out tutoring curriculum for a higher level
Bookstore? Scout Store?  nope, too clod and yuckyoutside to do more errands than necessary!
Grocery for chili ingredients. Not sure we'll need any Halloween candy since it is 34 degrees and raining, but I'll get some anyway.
AHG things  patches ordered, email sent
Get a jump on weekend house cleaning? nope

Good morning!  My BFF from Florida and her husband land at 11 pm tonight to spend the weekend with us.  Today is so gray and rainy and not really helping my mood any.  It is currently 71 degrees and humid.  It will be in the 40s later tonight/tomorrow.

-coffee
-get DS15 situated with school
-furniture delivery between 10 and 2
-laundry DONE: 4
-workout (going to try and fit this in today, I've gained 4 lbs in 2 weeks UGH and the bags of Halloween candy are not helping matters any)
-practice for grad school entrance exams (took practice tests and scored way above state minimums but still practicing)
-get house ready for guests
-go to grocery store for some snacks for tonight, alcohol for tonight, breakfast for tomorrow
-bank to cash check from substitute teaching yesterday
-dinner (do Halloween candy and pumpkin seeds count???)

Good morning! It is frigid out- 4 degrees- but in the Colorado way, we should be up to 40 this afternoon. Not much is on the agenda- we are hosting a sleepover for a crowd of dd2's friends tonight. The morning might be a bit crazy- but they are all 17 or 18 and should be able to figure out their lives pretty well.

  • coffee/paper
  • watch dh refuse a ride to work and layer all his clothes to bike in
  • get dd2 off to school- she is dressed as a tennis player "the scariest thing she knows."
  • morning chores
  • ds3 up and working
  • get basement ready for girls
  • license plates? probably will wait until tomorrow
  • more school with ds3
  • tennis
  • finish getting the house read
  • pick up ds3 from tennis
  • hand out candy- last year, we didn't have very many- not sure about tonight
  • not sure what will be for dinner

Have a great day!

A bit of a frustrating morning.

Board dogs took longer than normal.  One of the dogs wouldn't eat - which was a problem not only because she's skeletal (very very old) but mainly because her meds are hidden in her food.  Then I had a dog drop off but the guy was over 15 minutes late while I shivered out in the cold.  I think that the recalcitrant dog is now eating (I hid some treats in her food to make it more enticing).  And I finally got to eat my own breakfast.

human care is done

my own pet care is done

medical care is done - though I am in a flare.

Got my outside chores done for now. It's still snowing like crazy, with 6-7" on the ground. We've had flurries before on Halloween, but nothing like this.

My horses are in a mood. They're not ready for winter yet, either!

Texted my boys and told them to be careful if they drive anywhere today. Dh said the roads are a mess and there are accidents galore.

Cleaned the kitchen, watered plants, started laundry, and dusted.

Cleaned the fridge, too.

Filed three big piles of paperwork and a bunch of tax returns

Shredded

Paid a few bills

Finished up laundry

Ran out of time to vacuum

Realized that I must have accidentally thrown away the grocery list I made yesterday - argh

Dd and I are headed out to feed the horses now

Spend the day in 3 layers of clothes waiting for my gas to be turned back on. Thankful that we didn't lose electricity during the fire and evacuation, so I don't have a nasty refrigerator to clean out. Thankful for returning to my own bed instead of an air mattress on friends' floor. Goodbye, Kincaid fire, please no more fires this year!!

Howdy!  Thursday is over here, but I wanted to check in as it was a pretty long and busy day.

  • Kid 1 was up until 1:30am with her homework and shower!  Ugh!
  • I was up until about 5am working.
  • Slept 2 hours.
  • Got the kids up for school.
  • Morning birthday celebration for housemate.
  • Filled out school forms etc.
  • Kids off to school on time with gym bags.  Yay!
  • Some house cleaning, mail processing.
  • A little reading.
  • Fed the bird.
  • Lots of client work.  It was a quarterly report deadline day.
  • Emailed teacher re testing / special math help.
  • Texted with trumpet teacher re schedule change.
  • Picked up kids' friend who wanted to trick-or-treat with them.
  • Dragged some Halloween decorations out of the basement and set them up.
  • Enjoyed listening to the kids laughing nonstop as they tried to figure out their costumes.
  • Sent kids off to trick-or-treat while I handed out / ate candy and finished some work reports.
  • Out to dinner - birthday dinner for the housemate (kids' friend came along).
  • Dropped off kids' friend after making plans to pick her up in the morning.
  • Found a couple things friend left here; need to give them back tomorrow.
  • Checked time for tomorrow's activity and figured out schedule / morning procedure.
  • Kids to bed.
  • More work reports.
  • Probably some other stuff.

Now I need to get some sleep, because tomorrow is going to be an even longer day!
