Hilltopmom
My just turned 3 the old has a routine physical this week. Flu is rampant here right now. (And I’m a traveling preschool teacher who brings home lots of germs with two kids in public school who already got their flu shots) Do I take 3 yr old to his appt and risk the waiting room (ours does have separate sick/ we’ll waiting areas) for his physical AND getting his flu shot OR Postpone appt a few months but then he won’t get his flu shot this year ( We are late, I know) ETA- kids can only get flu shot at dr here, not pharmacy or health dept. SparklyUnicorn
Tough one, but I'll say that nearly every time we go for physicals, the kids get sick. I don't think that is some sort of crazy coincidence. It was never more than a cold or viral thing, but still it's annoying.
Ottakee
Do they have a back door where you can come in, get the shot and leave? Will a pharmacy like Walgreens give one?
mlktwins
I would cancel. My boys are both due 2 shots and I was going to take them in just for the shots. I'm now waiting until March/April for that.
SparklyUnicorn
Do they have a back door where you can come in, get the shot and leave? Will a pharmacy like Walgreens give one? She lives in the same state I do if I recall correctly and nope to the pharmacy thing. They only do adults. It stinks!

Hilltopmom
I’m going to call tomorrow. Appt isn’t until the next day so I can still cancel in time.
Spryte
My January birthday boy always has his routine physicals in April, for flu reasons.
TechWife
Call the dr office and ask them if he can be taken to a clean room right away.
importswim
I would cancel. I'm trying not to go anywhere non-essential right now because it seems like everyone I know has the flu so it has to be rampant in my community.
