ktgrok
Give me your best. I am cooking more but need to use recipes that don't call for lots of pricey ingredients.

SamanthaCarter
Heavenly homemakers is how I learned to make quick, stovetop man and cheese. It’s a lunch staple around here! Ps- I despise the name. 🤮 Edited November 30, 2017 by SamanthaCarter
kewb
Another vote for www.budgetbytes.com I also like www.glutenfreeonashoestring.com
BarbecueMom
I use Budget Bytes too. I also like Damn Delicious for meals with simpler ingredients, but not the same-old "stuck in a rut" dishes.
DesertBlossom
Most of my recipes come from Mel's Kitchen Cafe. She has loads of recipes on there and some of them call for unusual ingredients, but most of them are very simple, yet amazing.

Zinnia
An actual book, but I love Cheap Fast Good! So family friendly (my kids like every recipe), and genuinely cheap.

umsami
I was watching the Big Family Cooking Showdown or maybe it's called the British Family Cooking Showdown on Netflix and one of the first challenges for the families is the 10 pound challenge. They make such interesting and yummy things. You can watch the show on Netflix and see the recipes here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/programmes/p05909nd I have a book called "Cheap Fast Good" that is probably available at the library. Of course, spaghetti/pasta and breakfast for dinner are two of our favorite cheap eats. A year or two ago I found this fascinating website of a woman who did WWII era cooking. I think she was British? Let me see if I can find it. https://the1940sexperiment.com/rationing-diet-sheets/ Edited December 1, 2017 by umsami
