National Junk Food Day, anyone?

I ate a dingle dorrito. That said, I was not aware of "National Junk Food Day" so I wasn't commemorating anything, LOL.

Details, details.

We're soon to head to my hometown for my high school reunion and will be staying with my mom.  That week is likely to be National Junk Food Week for us.  My mom has never been big on eating healthy foods and when we're with her it's always Eat, EAt, EAT!   :glare:

However, when we spent the month together in the Bahamas I was able to make some headway into eating less (myself) and somewhat healthier.  I guess I'll find out how much that carried over for a different time together.

But... I'll also admit I've picked out a few of my favorite places to eat when we're up there and they include fish & chips (in Canada), a local sub shop (with terrific hard salami subs), and a fried chicken place.

So... I'm not sure I'll be able to blame it all on my mom.     It's just that she's going to expect three meals per day of a larger size and I kind of expect one of a normal size and a couple smaller ones.  She'll also have her house stocked with treats of all sorts I suspect.

Hubby will be happy.   ;)
