I have emptied the bunny cage of all supplies, trays, and grates.  Next up is find a safe spot for birdie (whose birdcage sits on top of the bunny cage) and then see about getting the bunny cage outside.  Hopefully I can do it in two stages.  It's a huge 5' tall, steel cage with two levels and very heavy.  Maybe one of the girls will help me carry them out.

Yay!  It's a Bunny Cage Booyah!

Good morning!

I need people to stop adding things to the calendar.  Including myself.  May is going to be a Month.

I think I'll mow the lawn today.  Orchestra rehearsal tonight.  I've been asked to bring my mandolin for a fiddle group medley - they've never heard me play and may regret it, lol.  Also I have to get the guest bed set up.  I have plans to get one that is easy-peasy to set up but haven't gotten to it yet.  Some day.

Coffee!

The lawn done been mowed.  What else was I supposed to do?

I think you were going to come pick up my special recycling and bring it to the multi-material facility for me.

Thanks.

Clean out my fridge and make salad.

Road trip and salad!  My favorite things!

(what kind of salad?  I'm thinking classic Minnesota Jello Salad with marshmallows, pineapple, and miracle whip or Strawberry Pretzel Salad.)

Good Morning!!!

COFFEE!!!~D

Fri-yay!!

School and work!!  I’m back on my rounds of family meetings. Got three of them this afternoon, but they are only in the Big City, so it should be a fairly easy day in that regard.

Oldest DD is going on the school Choir trip to So-Cal. So, this just shows the planning abilities of her school….the Choir always goes to Disneyland. They are coming home late Sunday afternoon. Then, the Seniors are going on their class trip to Disneyland…. on Monday. It was suggested that the Seniors who are also in choir stay the night in LA Sunday and meet their classmates Monday morning at Disneyland, but no parent was interested in chaperoning that potential nightmare, so they are coming home Sunday and leaving at 5:00am on Monday. We’re having some of DD’s friends spend the night Sunday, because they live some distance from the school.

Morning, Happy Friday.  It's been a heck of a week but most things are resolved to somewhat satisfactory conclusions.

dd had a 6 month follow-up with her eye doctor because he was concerned about her optic nerve (thought it was thin) and that her eyesight got worse somewhat rapidly.   She had her follow-up Monday and he referred her to a specialist and she had that appointment Thursday.  So three days of worrying about optic nerve atrophy and all that could bring.  Turns out there's nothing to worry about.  She has a slight anomaly but the doctor thinks it's likely she was born with it.  The "rapid" change in vision could just be due to growth or tired eyes or just about anything.

One of my teacher's quit over a disagreement we had over how to handle something.  Her child had an issue with another child in class - not in her class.  She wanted me to give her the parent's phone number to call the parent but as a teacher, she should not be talking to other parents as a parent.  But she also never reported the issue to me or the other teacher or said anything about it and things supposedly happened months ago.  (this is a child that I am 100% sure she does not like, as well).   I wanted to make sure all out discussions were recorded so wanted to talk in person or we had some text discussion, but didn't want to talk on the phone.   She quit over that (supposedly, I'm sure there was more).    Without her own children, we are able to merge the students left in her class with the students left in the other teacher's class so can finish the year easily enough.

Then my mother was evidently taken to the hospital the other night, not admitted but needs follow up for digestive issues.  I'm her emergency contact but she didn't want me bothered "so late at night" (10pm) so never told me.  She told my brother who lives 3,000 miles away and he told me because he thought I should know.

Tonight we're taking dd out for her (30th!!!) birthday to Legal Seafood.

Good morning!

I was up again and fell back asleep just in time for my alarm to go off.  Oh well.  I've made up the guest bed and now have a few minutes to get dressed and help load lumber back into the van to take it to the scoutmaster's house - her dh will get the wood cut to size for us.  They are also having a yard sale so hopefully they are selling some awesome gear.

Meanwhile dd25/sil are driving up for the weekend to visit.  Tonight Other SIL has a senior presentation.  I can't remember what time.

Last night during orchestra rehearsal I practiced a medley (on mandolin) with the fiddle ensemble and felt like a real musician 😁

Coffee!!

There is a restaurant chain around here called Juicy Seafood and it makes me queasy every time I think about it.  It has a good reputation though.

I have kids in my class that find the word "juicy" more disturbing than "moist" so that seems an unfortunate name.
