Just Kate
Anyone watch this show? I just recently started season 1 on Netflix and it is quite interesting so far. Just curious to know what others who have watched think of it? I have limited tv time, I guess I'm wondering if it's worth the investment of time. :)
displace
I was just thinking the other day I may start watching it. I got into Tudors though so IDK if I'll watch soon but it sure looks good! The other thing is that it's been on for a bit now so that means at least some people like it for it to have survived. stephanier.1765
Take a look at the social group "Oncers." There is definitely a following. :D
mommymilkies
I'm on season 3. We started watching when it came out, but got behind. It's ok. Pretty entertaining. Fairly ok for the kids. I like how the stories are interwoven. Beware for spoilers out there since it's been out for awhile. ;)
Just Kate
My 10 year old son just asked me about it. Okay for that age? Would it be too much if my 7 year old dd was in the room (she wouldn't watch...I know she'd get bored)?
JessReplanted
I like it, but personally, I don't let my kids watch it with me. There's romance and evil/killing. It might be ok for my 11 year old son, but for now I just keep it all to myself! ;)
Sun
We're finishing season 2. I would let DS11 watch without any concern. I don't think it would be too much if your DD7 were in the room, Just Kate, except for a few scenes (e.g. one where two characters come upon a village that has been killed, and there are piles of dead bodies, or a scene where someone is being tortured by being electrocuted). There are maybe 3 or 4 scenes that we've seen that would give me pause for someone that age. However, it may get more intense as it continues; I know that the last few episodes have been more intense than the first season overall. NoseInABook
Funny. I just started season 2 on Netflix. I kept up with Season 1 when it was airing because I had a tiny newb at home that I nursed through the show. My friend mentioned that it was on Netflix and voila, hooked again! Slache
OUAT has "What the H*ll" "Oh my G*d", violence but not gore, romance but not nudity.
Just Kate
Thanks everyone! I normally watch tv by myself, after the kids are in bed. Today I had some time and felt like being lazy, so I've watched a few shows. Ds started paying attention and I decided to start the season over for him. We are just on episode 2, but he's enjoying it (and I'm enjoying having something else that we can enjoy together).
Nemom
We watch in "real" time on satelite. Seasons 1 & 2 are really good. Season 3 is ok but kind of started to be too much of a stretch for us. I'm guessing season 4 may be the end for us but we'll see. Enjoy! Tohru
I really enjoy how clever it is. Yes, lots of spoilers all around, but it's still great to watch :) I just started watching Season 3 on Netflix last night because we just renewed our subscription for the Fall/Winter time. busymama7
I have one more episode left of season 3 which I will watch tonight. I'm not looking forward to it being over :( I have watched it all while recovering from childbirth My kids over 12 were already into it and kept begging me try it. It took a slow pp recovery and boredom to get me to but now I Iove it. Just like they said I would ;)
elegantlion
I just finished season 3 last week. :D
Momofeat
I watch it with my dh and dd(15). We allow dd(11) to watch most of it, but she's behind the rest of us, so it's easy to have her skip parts I don't want her to see. We skipped most of the Mary Margaret/David/Catherine stuff. I know it didn't show anything, but I felt like the content was awkward, and I didn't want her to have to process such stuff yet.
