Kim in Appalachia
I went for a short run this morning, 3 miles. I plan on some kettlebell in a bit. Happy Monday!
Mom-ninja.
Yesterday was an unintended off day, but I was scrapping paint, sanding my concrete floor, and trying to mop up the mess. Still a long way to go cleaning that floor. This morning was lower body HIIT, lower body toning, and stretching. Will stretch later again to ward off stiffness from all this renovation work. rieshy
Sunday- 1.5 mile walk at almost normal pace. Monday- 1.5 mile walk. PT exercises. For you women that love elliptical machines: I've noticed that my legs have changed shape a bit since my injury has kept me from doing my morning conditioning on the elliptical machine. I think it really tones and elongates the outsides of my thighs even more than street running does.
Snickerdoodle
I did my WO today at the park. Thank goodness no one was there because I'm pretty sure it sounded like I was giving birth. LOL A little more stretching and rolling left to do later. Yip!
redsquirrel
After taking a little break due to my period and then a very busy weekend, I got 60 mins of TA in today. I used light weights for the arm section because I hadn't done it in a week, but I found the weighted section to be very doable. The butt section was harder though. Holding myself on all fours for just those 15 mins is a real challenge. I can prob do all the leg work, but my arms and core get tired from the position. At least I am pretty sure that is the bigger challenge for me. There are a few sections where I should be feeling a burn, but I don't so weights are in order. But, I am struggling with form. So, I will order some light leg weights and just do fewer reps with good form? I think that might be my challenge for the month. I feel like after doing this workout for 2 weeks I am starting to see some changes in my abs and butt. Only I would notice though, lol
Slache
I intend to spend the next week in a hotel that's too hot to work out in while living on fast food so that I can be extra fat with acne to boot for my reunion in a week and a half. Have a good thread without me.

TammyS
Missed some of last week on the thread due to computer issues. Fri I ran 3 miles, but then missed my long run Sat because my period was killing me. Yesterday morning I did 3 miles and then last night I met my friend at Planet Fitness for 2 miles of walking and the 30 minute weights circuit. Today will be pilates and painting my hallway/kitchen. ETA: pilates done. If any of you runners are looking for a good supplement, Tarbell's "Pilates for Runners" is killer, without the "aura of holiness" surrounding lots of pilates videos. Soror
I'm tired again. so stinking tired of that. I got more iron pills hopefully that fixes it, soon. I expect this week will be light, yesterday all I did was MuTu core, Sunday was core and walk, same planned for today.
Joyofsixreboot
It was freakishly cool this morning. I decided (after digging up some autumn workout wear) to take a good long run before we eventually get July weather back. I came home and did some kettle bell and stretching after. It has lots of natural iron, as well as a number of other vitamins and minerals. If you decides to try it, make sure to get unsulphered (sulpher can act as a blood thinner and complicate menstrual issues).

Kim in Appalachia
I ran 3 miles today. I did a kettlebell workout yesterday using a DVD. I hadn't done that in a while, and I can feel it today. I am sore (in a good way) all over. I had been increasing my miles, so I decreased kettlebell, but I need it. Once my miles got up to 30 (I had been increasing slowly) my Achilles started acting up again. So I'm running short this week, doing eccentric heal lifts after my run, and doing kettlebell. Today was just swings, since I did a WO yesterday.

gardenmom5
I walked a mile yesterday, and swam for 40ish minutes. (I was in the pool longer than that. I got out because it was getting dark.) did yoga today, and have walked 2/3's mile so far. and plan on at least another 1/3 or 2/3. (I walk up and down my hill several times to get my "steps" in.) It would be a good supplement though and a nice addition to the diet once my levels are up enough to help them stay up. I'm feeling better than I was. I'm supposed to go to the Yoga class tonight (1hr), getting ready to do MuTu Core. Probably won't try to do intensives today as I don't know when I'll have time and I want to save my energy for Yoga. Hopefully I'll feel back up to normal within a few days. Last 2 nights my sleep hasn't been great, ironically I still yet felt better yesterday than I had the previous days with more sleep. I have extremely low iron- and was put on a prescription a year ago. Do some research about when and how to take it. For instance if you take it within 2 hours of caffeine or chocolate your absorption of the iron is significantly impaired. Same with taking it with dairy and a few other foods. I take mine on an empty stomach before bed with 1/2 squeezed lemon in plain water. That upsets some people's stomachs but it was a lot of trial and error before I figured out a what worked for me. When I'm on my period I double up and take liquid iron (I buy at Whole Foods) in the a.m. and the prescription at night I also eat a diet rich in dark greens and other iron rich foods- but that was never enough. I just got my results back and I've raised it 30 pts in 2 months so I think it is going pretty well. I've actually never had an issue with iron until lately, I'm not sure if that is due to gluten exposure I had in the fall or just the hashimotos or a combo but hopefully it will stay up. redsquirrel
So no exercise yesterday due to a houseful of kids who weren't all mine. Today I tried a 30 min fitness blender cardio workout. It was ok, sort of boring but fine. I am not wanting to do it again, lol. I will keep poking around FB until I find something that strikes my fancy. I am hoping tomorrow to get 60 mins of TA in the afternoon. Next week, son the younger returns to afternoon theater camp so I will have a guaranteed time for exercise for 2 weeks! Kim in Appalachia
3 mile run this morning. I'm enjoying the cool weather; the newspaper says it won't last. After my run I did the Kettlebutts WO from Kettlebody DVD. Single-leg deadlifts, swings, lunges and snatches. I'm still feeling sore from Monday's kettlebell WO, but I'm determined to get back to my strength work. I'm also trying to throw in my pull-ups today. An acrobatics class sounds scary, but better than ballet. I've never had the grace for ballet. I'll stick to swinging heavy cast iron bells. :)

At the rockclimbing gym I like they have aerial acrobatics classes, they use silks that hang from the (very high) ceiling. I would LOVE to try that out, although it does sound scary, too bad it is 2 hrs+ away. I got a walk in yesterday. I finally had a pretty good day but I spent most of it preparing the house for ds' party tonight, my legs were dead by the end of the day. Today I'm hoping to get a short walk and core work done but my list is even longer, so we'll see how the time goes. I'm feeling about back to normal again, so thankfully my crash wasn't too long this time. So, it seems I'm getting better. I just have to go slower than I want to go at times. It will sure be nice when I don't have to worry about crashes anymore and all days are good days. Maybe in another 3 months. So, I'm going to try and pull it back a bit. I need to think as to what would be good to do.
