JumpyTheFrog
Why is it always on this board? The other boards don't seem to attract it nearly as much…or at least this week. (I hope I didn't just jinx things.)
Ellie
I know. There's a major spam-bot thing going on. I tried to post on some other threads so they'd move to the top and push the spam off, but the spammers are faster than I. :cursing:

Melissa in Australia
I feel for the poor moderators trying to keep up.
[email protected]
Fortunately, it's easy to get rid of once it's reported! FYI, if you report a spammer once, we can get rid of all of that spammer's posts with a single action. So you don't need to report every post made by a particular spammer. Just every spammer ID. Thanks to all our members for helping us keep the boards clean. Moderator
readwithem
Thanks for letting us know that, Moderator. Could you all possibly install one of those things that require new members to put in a unique word or number code? Would that deter some of the new member spammers? PeterPan
Thanks for letting us know that, Moderator. Could you all possibly install one of those things that require new members to put in a unique word or number code? Would that deter some of the new member spammers? Doubt that would do much good, but they could require an introduction post in a section or the answering of some basic questions (where do you buy your curriculum, etc.). Or they could go to a subscription-based model where participation is free with purchase of WTM or PHP materials via code contained in the product. Mergath
I wonder if the subscription was even just a dollar (to be a poster, free to read), if that would filter out most of the junk. I'd be happy to pay a dollar (or even more than that) if it would help get rid of some of this spam.
teeniebeenie6
Thanks for letting us know that, Moderator. Could you all possibly install one of those things that require new members to put in a unique word or number code? Would that deter some of the new member spammers? This has worked wonderfully on other groups I am part of.
